Interesting how that continues to stir them up.

That's part of how lack of transparency actually fuels the fires.

To one degree or another, everyone is right... and wrong. The absence of free flow of information means that everyone has to use their own judgment, based on their own knowledge and information, and their understanding of that information, to make choices and decisions and form opinions.

Opinions can be argued forever and a day... facts not so much.

At least if we had the facts and the truth, we could argue about what to do about it instead, which would be far more productive!

It should be an expectation instead of a battle.

One would think all free people would be for such?

I would think so. I would hope so. But again, we're all working with limited facts and truths. With lots of mis-truths and half-truths and un-truths thrown into the mix. This is what comes of that.

We need sunshine!

Surely you aren't trying you claim that you just learned about this through an email?

Once again, since you seem to be missing it, this audit isn't about transparency, this is about Trump claiming he lost and looking for sympathetic fools to throw him a life line.

"Everyone" is a mighty big word...

Which is why I prefaced it with 'nearly'.

But for Trump supporters, this is personal...

That's my point, this isn't about improving anything, it's a personal vendetta.

It is how one obtains ANY government document.

When the government doesn't want to share it willingly.

Without them no audit, your "emails" have very little swag with respect to that fact.

They'd still show the mentality which was then actioned upon by the Arizona Senate President.

Putting on my antipartisan hat here...

There's good reason not to trust Pubs as much as Dems. They've played both sides against the middle for decades now, and again and again and again the Pubs have allowed -- if not outright enabled and empowered -- dirty critters to do what they will. Again and again we've seen Pubs throw up their hands and say, "Oh well. Nuttin' we could do!!!" when there damn well was. The Pubs have played plenty of their own games, and have to own their part in the problems we have today.

Speaking to Arizona specifically, there's been a long-time civil war brewing within the GOP, basically the good ol' boys vs the populist or the conservative vs the libertarian. Now we have a civil war between the County Pubs and the State Pubs. I do suspect and expect that many of the people in support of the audit would not be if they didn't think it would help them in 2022 and beyond. I fully expect this to be a major campaign issue in the primaries as well as the general.

As I said, I'm quite happy to support and even applaud the audit, because it is the people's business, and needs to be done. The best part is that it sets a legal precedent going forward, and that's invaluable. But I also fully expect that the critters fully intend to exploit and use this to their advantage. And at some point, their intentions may collide with our best interests.

Can't trust ANY critter any farther than I can throw them!

For some, no doubt. Although I have to admit I haven't before thought of it in those terms. I was thinking more betrayed and violated... but that does lead to vendettas.

But there are still plenty that do recognize that if an election can be stolen from their candidate this time, it can happen next time and the time after that and so on and so forth.

It isn't necessarily either/or. It can be both/and.

But I have to add that this perspective or mentality is compounded because the legal recourse is given to the candidate -- who can claim personal harm, and therefore has standing in court; and not the people -- who cannot claim personal harm, and have no standing in court. The people are almost forced to champion the candidate, and make it all about him/her.

There's good reason not to trust Pubs either. I definitely wouldn't trust the Dems.

All I want is fair transparent elections. If you have fair transparent elections you will be more likely be able to weed the swamp creatures out.

Yup!

If we don't have fair and transparent elections, then the swamp creatures win. If we don't have fair and transparent elections, we don't have a Constitutional Republic we've got a Banana Republic.

Transparency is the only solution. Sunshine is good for all of us!

The Devastating Reality of the Arizona Forensic Audit

I’m gonna accept this guys opinion? That would be a NO!

Bernard Bailey Kerik (born September 4, 1955) is an American consultant and former police officer who served as the 40th Commissioner of the New York Police Department from 2000 to 2001. A former convicted felon, he obtained a presidential pardon for his numerous ethics violations in 2020.

Assuming they arent incredibly open about it anyway. Non-issue

They weren't open about it, which is why it showed up via FOIA.

But the Democrats are against that! They can only get elected by cheating or they wouldn't be against it.
