SCOTUS hearing Kelly/Parnell case challenging Act 77 tomorrow. PA State Senate refusing to defend based on PA Supreme Ct. and Sec Bookvar subverting original law.

Not sure what is going on here yet, but this statement sticks out.

What would happen if texts originating from a FBI agent to several [internals] discussed the assassination (possibility) of the POTUS or member of his family?
What if the texts suggest foreign allies were involved?

I think that means exactly what it sounds like. The case is going to the Supreme Court, but no argument will be provided by the defense.

After doing some research, that's an odd one. "Refusal to defend" became a trend in the last few decades as a way of not supporting something because it is unconstitutional. I don't see a lot of information about the process, but it is supposed to simplify the process for the court because rather than dealing with arguments and details, the burden is on the court to defend. Very interesting. I feel like either they are conceding defeat, or there is a gotcha we don't know about.

Not dug into yet, but yes. It is the entire reason DJT WANTED Joe to declare himself the victor. The system is an antiquated, rotting corpse, that has the bizarre system of Plaintiff and Defendant and the actions are different and lawyers can't see past those polarized points. In truth, a real truth, they'd both be Plaintiff's because both were potentially harmed, but in our world that's impossible.

So by making Joe the "defendant" (or State etc.) it FORCES them into defending fraud or worse. Had DJT declared himself the winner, he'd have an impossible task. This is easy, in part because they planned the actions 4 years ago, which makes the case for actor Joe being a gray hat at worst.

If they aren't going to put on a defense, then it means they have no smoking gun to settle it.

I would laugh, but that is exactly the issue. Seems like there is no honesty anywhere these days. Literally.

I could puke thinking about how absolutely f'ed up this whole fiasco is.

I'm still waiting for someone to come up with the appropriate word to describe not only the scale of this heist, but of everything we have learned about our "government officials" over the last four years. Again, the scale is stunning.

One can only imagine what corruption other countries are reeling under.
