"Attempt" is a separate crime in most states. "Attempted murder" or "Attempted" burglary.

In Illinois, for example, it's defined in 720 ILCS 5/8-4 as:

A person commits the offense of attempt when, with intent to commit a specific offense, he or she does any act that constitutes a substantial step toward the commission of that offense

So the answer is no, law enforcement doesn't have to wait until what you call the "act" is completed, inasmuch as trying to do the act - "attempt" - is a crime in itself, usually with the same or similar penalty.

So, if Bob picked up a gun and pointed it at another person (the "substantial step" toward committing murder), you wouldn't have to wait for him to kill that person; he could be arrested for "attempted" murder.

Same here with all this fraud - especially here, because of the national and global implications if the crime is consummated v. "attempted"

This is why waiting for the election to "catch them in the act", if that's what was done, was colossally foolish. If that's what was done.

And the fact of the matter is we can’t see any physical way possible for some of those votes to have been in those kind of numbers because they just don’t have the equipment that can produce it in that timing.

After listening to the computer geek on Beck this morning, who has had all of a few days to review these "voting" machines and how they're programmed, he outlined multiple ways they're "vulnerable" - purposefully so, it seems (the vulnerabilities are listed and ranked in the user manual according to severity) - even *I* can see that anyone looking at all these states using them poses a huge security risk.

And that's just what the guy discovered in a few days.

Short version: the Dominion machines were designed to have multiple ways to alter the count of ballots run through them, and they didn't hide the fact inasmuch as these ways are detailed in the user manual. They were originally designed to fix elections in Venezuela and other similar countries.

But this guy was on the job for years and didn't find this?

Jurisdiction is an odd and tangled thing. I can't say how they'll get to SCOTUS.

And remember, SCOTUS doesn't have to accept the case. They're allowed to pick and choose what cases they want to hear.

This, my friend, is a YUGE risk in the strategy of "let them cheat and we'll show everyone but we'll win in the Supreme Court!"

I can't emphasize enough, YUGE risk in strategy.
