This has been a very difficult period of time and I too hope I will be able to get my family back. They fully believe the media narrative and what makes it worse is that they refuse to even discuss the situation or even learn how the process works. When the results are overturned, which I am sure will happen, there will be so much anger and denial. I can just hear it now that Trump stole the election and that he is a bully.
I can try to provide proof and explain but what has been so consistent is that all discussion is shut down.

They have made a serious mistake and there will be a new normal. China was making enormous profits from manufacturing and providing all kinds of goods, even down to all of our decorations and that is going to disappear.
Good/light wins. We take back our holidays and our lives.

On a side note. When my mom was first married they were very, very poor and could not afford a turkey. She took hamburger meat and shaped it into a turkey. That was one of her favorite memories. We can shape our own holidays and enjoy and savor them.

What they're crushing is family.

I have a 10-year-old who is desperate to see his family again. He was in tears over not seeing his whole family this Thanksgiving, and he's panicked that he won't see them again at Christmas. He wants more than anything to see his cousins. It's been almost an entire year since he last saw them.

My son, away at school ,has been told not to return home for Thanksgiving. The school also sent me an e-mail saying I was to discourage family Thanksgiving this year.
That is not going to happen. We are having Thanksgiving. The whole family.
We have a wonderful time. We all cook together and by the end I am usually too tired to eat but Lol it is so fun and we make such a mess.

I know this is about control. It’s why I spend more mental energy on the crazier side of this whole covid-election conspiracy.
I know the more rational thinkers want to understand the “why”. I’m more interested in the “how”.
Don’t know if I’m explaining myself correctly.
For example: I’m trying to foresee the WHO getting called out on all this, getting the EU involved, and quickly turning fear of a civil war into WW3.
We’re all doing our part to fight the good fight, If I sound like Dale Gribble, I guess that is my role in this. Lol.

Ket it is a good point about crushing the families but it is more. They are trying to crush our spirit, the heart of the family.
Not much has been discussed about the impact of remote working. I have spent all summer with numerous family members working from home. I love having them here but the disruption and additional work was something else.
Normal household chores started after 5 p.m. rather then during the day and I spent most of the summer outdoors.
On the positive my garden was the best it has looked in years.
But now we are back into another lock down and there is no garden to work on and I really can't spend the fall and winter outside in the snow. The dogs cannot remain silent from 9-5 so lots of stress.
