Their chatter about wanting to recreate conditions that haven't existed since very shortly after the Big Bang make me nervous. Not scientific of me at all, but it sounds like an idea the outcome of which may be something they didn't account for.

Try looking at Google maps using different servers. They redraw borders to suit their supposed audience. That was an eye-opener.

Ya so using different google extensions from countries and login anonymously with a handy translator for search strings to finally translate that back on a page can do the job of finding information that doesn't exist on all other google pages around the world?

This technique reminds me of a programming task I took on once to link object files from four different programming languages. The tricky part was figuring out how the object files accepted stack bytes -- some in normal order, others in reverse order.

No idea what information the technique you mention might bring out. I would be very wary of multiple machine translations, though. I think that would end up like the game kids used to play of whispering a message from one to another in a room. At the end of that exercise, the message was nothing like it was when it was spoken to the first child.

Generally, though, the technique is interesting. Kind of like pouring water into Google Inc. and seeing where the leaks are.
