I think it was mutual. Salman hated Clinton and likely had all of her comms from her BB being routed through SA. He would have been elated at Trump winning and likely wanted to do anything possible to keep Hillary far away.

I am beginning to really think the source of the Clinton emails was SA now. The deal with RIM and SA occurred in 2010 and it allowed all traffic to be unencrypted by their security/government in SA.
