Yeah, but its kinda funny to watch.

I don't know, not my type of schadenfreude, I feel bad for the people that have to deal with imbeciles like this and I think the staff handled her antics well.

Now I'm gonna got get a sushi taco from a Turkish guy.

as a restaurateur, i bristle at the notion of yelp.

We engage them, but to the most minimal degree possible. Our stand alone places are more engaged with yelp. I put more effort into TripAdvisor.

But the company itself is as dirty as it gets. You either pay them, or suffer the consequences.

Oh yeah, let’s add this.

So when you go to dispute a false review this is Yelps automated response:

“Yelp does not get involved in Factual disputes”

WTF did you just tell me?

Basically, they don’t care if people lie. Deal with it, you’re screwed.

“If you advertise with us — we can get some of those reviews removed“

Oh yeah, they promised that sh!t to me countless times. FBS

I had a girl falsely claim that I stole $700 from her because I had to cancel their tour. Claimed they paid in full but never got a refund. When in fact, she received a refund before she wrote the review. I showed ALL of the documented evidence to yelp proving this(bank statements, ect.) proving she lied. They didn’t care and did not remove the review.

We're offended by the name but not the racist acts!

Woot Woot.go America 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

This is one time I agree with you.

Deeds not words

Words shouldn't hurt or offend us, but the actions, hypocrisy, and censuring should.

I can only go by the anecdotal stuff my friends tell me. My buddy, for example, has an unclaimed pizzeria, he's got 4 1/2 stars on Yelp and has not had an issue.

As a kid, dealing with that while staying cool must be rough.
Never heard of Yelp, but it sounds like domestic terrorism to me.

Technically you aren't forced to use it, you don't have to claim the business.

Yes, I know.

Thank you for reminding me that people can start one for me. Just did a check and — thank god no one has.

I’m sure it costs me some business by not having it. I’m perfectly fine with that. So I don’t have to deal with the majority of the assholes who post on there.

Wow, I am surprised people are still using yelp. For some reason I thought everyone stopped using it years ago, when it was being blasted for extortion-like behavior.

It's gonna get sent to Gitmo where it will promptly write a 1 star review.

I guess it all depends on what type of business, if it's a restaurant, probably.

If only there was a way to identify black owned businesses on Yelp and leave reviews that they were racist.

If only.

This is the world SJW, BLM, and Yelp have created.

Fight the power.

Stand against tyranny.

Good for you. I should hit you up if you're out west. PM me if you want, I'm usually, when the 'Vid isn't killing the economy, out in California 8-10 times a year.

Yelp is about useless anyway iv been to so many 5 star places that serve bad food

What do you expect most people can't cook almost no one knows what doness they want a egg and you expect them to review food

A simple app that shows u the menu would do the same since reviews from people who can't boil water are worthless

Yelp...

Heh. No thanks. I stop at any clean *looking* place I feel like it. I couldn't care less if it's ran by racists as long as they serve me or allow me to shop there. If anything, I'd avoid the ones that Yelp has good reviews for though, if I ever used that app.

I came to the conclusion, that Yelp is simply a platform that severely enables passive aggressive behavior.

If you truly have an issue, speak to the manager in person, during your experience. Instead of saying you had a magnificent experience in person, only to go home and write a scathing review. Can’t count how many times that happened.

Me at the end of the tour: “did you have a good time?”

Them: “we had an amazing time. We are going to tell all our friends and family to take it. Here’s a $50 tip as well”

Them on Yelp later that night or the next day: “I don’t know where to start. Everything was terrible from the very beginning. So and so was a terrible guide. (Insert lie after lie). We have told all our friends and family to never take this tour”.

Uh huh. Passive aggressive assholes!
