I don't over-indulge any more.....not for the time being anyway.
Just one or two on the odd occassion at present until a long standing medical issue clears up, which hopefully won't be that long.
Even my Doctor has commended me, which is very unusual for her.

Me and andy go back a long way. In fact I've probably crossed swords with him more than with anyone else here on ATS.
There's always been quite a bit of common ground with us as well and I'd like to think we've got more than just a bit of mutual repsect for each other.

I find nothing unusual with us have similar views on this.....why should there be?

I’ll bet smoking and drinking kill you before covid. Yet you seem to think those freedoms should be afforded to you.

Those who agree and advocate lockdown then head to supermarkets which will be an absolute hive of infection really need to open your eyes.

How is a supermarket safer than a public park or beach?

I had a feeling you had some kind of relationship previous to this thread, otherwise you would have objectively dismissed his ramble that initially sparked my outrage.

Something about plane loads of Romanians and fat people cant starve.

Ill let you two have the room to yourself, it’s a waste of time attempting to find any kind of common ground.

What about the planeloads of Romanians shipped in to pick our produce untested at both ends that's a fact!

We don't want to work for peanuts you see and require a modicum of health and safety, those poor Romanians, well not so much.

Careful mate coz racist is the last thing i am.

As to fat people, scores of them about, can't see how that could have offended. LoL

As to a ""relationship"" wft? LoL

Can i have what you are smoking, please?

Terrified to leave home in case they catch a respiratory disease.

Spent the time at home filling lungs with carcinogens and genotoxic substances.

I said previously that the current governments policy is ill advised and full of inconsistencies.
Some of the restrictions make no sense at all.

I'm sure I made that perfectly clear in my first post in this thread.

My and andy's previous history is irrelevant.
I assure you, if either of us disagreed with the other we wouldn't be slow in voicing our disagreement......such discussions can and have got very lively to say the least.
But as I said, there's also common ground......and respect.

If I was the presumptuous sort then judging by some of your posts I'd think that you have no vices?

Whos that then?

You are perfectly free to leave your home for exercise, work, or essential shopping, nobody ever stopped you doing that.

Just as you are free to indulge in alcohol and tobacco products like everyone else over 18.

The logic is a bit mystifying all the same, but perfect animals we are not.

I don’t smoke or take drugs. I have previously but now only very occasionally. Last time I drank alcohol was my grandads funeral, last smoked a joint around Xmas.

In my youth I’ve taken mdma, coke, lsd. Nothing like that for over 10 years.

I’m not the one however claiming we should reduce freedom in order to protect public health.

Alcohol and cigarettes will kill way more people than covid.

Well probably best not to judge others too much then given your own lack of standards in the past glass houses, stones, and all that jazz.

Your right about the Alcohol and Cigarettes all the same, good luck showing us how to get rid of those as you will have anarchy and revolution on your hands in no time sharp.

Wonderful, I essentially have the same rights as convicted murderer. I’m allowed to provision for food, allowed visitation from only close family members and I can exercise 1 hour per day.

My crime? I might or might not contract a virus which may or may not effect my health.

I’m not at home hiding from a respiratory illness while ingesting substances likely to cause myself respiratory illness. Surely you can see the irony here?

There you go thinking you actually have rights again, it's precious really.

Your crime would be the possible infection of others.

As i said COVID 19 = public health concern which somewhat supersedes any illusory freedoms you assume exist.

I’m not judging, I’m highlighting the irony.

You can’t surely claim you advocate these measure son health grounds while at the same time purposely and willingly damaging your health.

If you are trooping around with COVID all willy nilly outside not giving a feck, i think the government also agree as to it being a criminal act.

Imagine you were out and about doing as you please and unfortunately came back and gave it to your own kids, parents or partner, how would you judge yourself should one of them or all of them fall ill or die?

The possible infection of others. Imagine trying to prosecute that.

My point exactly, we are prisoners of our governments however we have committed no crime. And people are cheering all the way to the camps.

There is no possible about it, if you get Covid 19, its highly lightly that you will pass it along to others.

We have always been, and always will be, prisoners of our governments, more like chattel or a commodity really.

Why do you imagine you are given a number when registered at birth?

It's for more than social services and national insurance purposes ile tell you that.

Mate give yourself a shake.

This is not Ebola or Zika virus. It simply isn’t killing children or healthy adults.

We have this wonderful gift called an immune system, it has kept the human race alive through many pandemics.

You’re also completely mistaken if you think mitigation or vaccination stops infection.

These virus’s mutate and will become endemic, likely you and your children will become infected. I’d suggest if you’re vaccinated future strains will most likely hit you harder due to inhibited natural antibody production from initial infections.

We can’t stop corona, only delay it’s spread.

I live and work in central London, chances are I’ve already contracted and passed on corona. Didn’t even notice.

Hardly makes me a mass murderer. Just living my life.
