As a healthy adult I too will be fine should I catch covid unless I’m really unlucky. The latest best guess mortality rates are between 0.15 and 2%. I’ll bet you anything when the dust settles it’s below 1%. Hardly as dangerous as your making out.

Your security and fear should not be an excuse to erode my freedom.

It just so happens your choices in no way conflict with social restrictions.

Its not the blind ridicule you want to be bothered about but bawbag Johnsons blind faith in who knows what the feck.

Not sure about the Indian - they have been delivering, not the same but.... - I do know one pub that is letting people in the back door - and apparently they are respecting social distancing guidelines - and I could go to any number of friends houses for a drink without gaining any attention.

But I've chose not to.....and like I said, even if they'd lifted all restricitions yesterday I still wouldn't, yet.....my choice.

Thing is, I don't see why pub beer gardens should be shut as long as social distancing guidelines are followed.
Serve in plastic glasses and/or bottles etc.

Not the same and I'm not sure it'd be economically viable but still no reason none the less.

And that's where a lot of the problems are; lack of consistency and common sense.

Yeah you know the freedoms which keep in check totalitarian authoritative rule such as freedom of speech, freedom of assembly. Trivial little things like that.

Well more than one would be enough by my estimation.

Half of our deaths are now in care homes, the same as most other places.

Won't remain that way if we open up to soon, that's a given.

I think we should be able to make our own choices. If your afraid then shelter, don’t force it on the rest of us.

More children will die in car accidents then from covid. Should we ban driving?

Trivial little illusory things no matter which way you care to be deluded.

Nonetheless illusions we cannot live without.

But i digress, Covids bad, stay home, Boris is a fruitloop.

You’re right, it’s a big invisible prison and we shouldn’t expect any kind of Liberty, lock us all in padded rooms to keep everyone safe.

Probably when you are driving.

COVID and car accidents are hardly the same, its not like you can pass along a collision to every tom, dick and harry, you come across on your travels.

What we should ban are daffy arsewipe politicians like Boris out to line his and his ilks own pockets at the expense of the safety of the everyday common man.

Now you are getting the hang of it.

It's easier on the eye with those rose-coloured spectacles on hence your ambivalence to see the truth.

Essentially democracy is indeed a prison where we cannot see the bars, but its nicer than the alternative forms of gooberment we have spawned to date, so there is that.

Its not that I'm afraid...I just don't want to risk not coming through this alive.
I have had a couple of scares recently and its brought some things home to me; most importantly I want to see my Grandson grow up and become a man.

As andy has intimated, your illusory rights will be cold comfort to your loved one's if you're dead and buried.

I passionately believe we should be on our guard for 'them' keeping these restrictions any longer than necessary.....I don't think we're anywhere near that point yet.

Im with the social distancing, dont ken how i would be after 10 pints all the same, but beer gardens should be just like anywhere else.

Picturing wads of masks with wee straw holes cut in them and disposable gloves all over the shop after a few, so the rules would need to be rather stringently enforced.

Its the public transport and large venues that will spread it again in my estimation if indeed we open up too soon.

You can think it all you want, that don't make it the case.

Im not forcing anyone to do anything, Boris, on the other hand, might have a hand in such.

I agree with you. My little one was premature so her lungs are not as strong, I have been vigilant in making sure all my shopping is disinfected, hands are washed and doused in anti bac gel. It's all well and good people talking about standing up for your rights and breaking out of this invisible prison, but some of us are cautious to do so. That sentiment isn't going to save you if you end up with a bad dose of this thing. a reply to: Freeborn

You said you aren’t afraid and then described fear.

People should be allowed to chose if they want to put themselves in danger.

If you want to take precautions to protect yourself then fine. Forcing other people to do the same is the very definition of tyranny.
