DJT announced the "production cut" earlier in the week which gave the markets a boost.
He left it up to us listeners to look at the history of "supply side" control of the market.
Its not the 1970's anymore but the countries that invested in offshore drilling and fracking need over $50 a barrel to remain profitable enough to compete.

I suspect that the dramatic slowdown in demand has left a huge glut of oil floating around in leased ships and we probably have a full strategic reserve of over 2 trillion barrels.

I do. I’m open to the alternative but I’ve not seen any proof.

If there are ET/ID, we wouldn’t have potholes. They would have solved that on day 1. If ET/ID have potholes where they’re from... or don’t possess the tech to eliminate them, then I’m not impressed.

The stay at home orders have hit taxi companies hard. If a lot less people are going anywhere, there is less need for taxis.

I guarantee you, if you need a job and you want to provide an essential service to people during this pandemic, one that very few souls are brave enough to do even in the best of times, you'd get hired by a taxi company in a heartbeat.

And I told you...taxi companies are getting hit hard now because of stay at home orders. Even without stay at home orders, people are not going out as much. In other words, taxi companies do not need extra taxi drivers right now.

I caught that. It looks like he's drawing a Q with his finger but, when he does it he uses the word "you", referring to his audience. So, I don't think he's intentionally drawing Q; rather, I believe he's gesturing with a reference to "you", his audience. I believe that is the case in each and every instance he "draws a Q" with his finger.

Another conspiracy theory I think needs to bite the bullet.

I don't deny cab companies are suffering with fewer people using them right now. After talking with the owner of the cab company here, he told me night shift sucks but, he could use me for day shift, especially on weekends. So, maybe it depends on location? It's $14 bucks an hour plus commission and tips. Unfortunately, it's extremely risky for drivers at this time. Many drivers have quit in my location, so there's a gap to fill. Luckily, I already have my cab license with 17 years experience - in a previous life. I just hope it's not my friggen' new retirement plan, lol!

I was looking at medical field jobs in my area. I was thinking I could do some things that people are afraid to do.
but i don't have the training or experience for any of them.

Grocery stores. Not sure about your locale but Safeway/Albertsons were hiring 1000s. It is (at least was) instant full time hire with union benefits.

Caregiving is also another that doesn't need a huge amount of experience. Might need CPR certification. Most places will train cpr/first aid/food handling certifications if they require them, not all though.

Volunteer at food banks/homeless shelters/etc.

It's a bit ironic you're talking (in absolute terms no less) about the reality of these things and proclaiming what is "terrifying" to people all the while telling us what exactly Q needs to or doesn't need to talk about. If anyone is afraid of anything here, imo, it's you.
