Update on the 2020 Olympics
IOC and PM Abe HAVE AGREED TO POSTPONE THE GAMES FOR ONE YEAR
I didn't know this, but NBC had the exclusive rights to the games and they had said they would agree to what ever agreement was made. Wow! That's a lot of money down the drain for NBC at the moment.
I watch PM Abe (TV ) walk out of the press meeting not answering any questions. He and I both know the one year thing is "fake". Its been 6 months since China actually had the problem. Been 2 weeks now for most Americans to face this horrible virus. And postpone for one year. I don't even want to go back to childhood and start believing in Santa.
Anyway look at my link: www.abovetopsecret.com...
And just now the Mayor of Tokyo (I feel very sorry for her, because soon her job is meant for a mean and tough man ) had said, if we have to, we'll shut down the city.
Remember my post of 14 million people living in and around the city. Of course, if they have insight, they are going to panic and try to leave the city. Wow!
I'm getting prepared for an influx of "the unknown".
*****************UPDATE*****************
Yesterday(Monday 3/23) I woke up and my cough was still very dry and frequent. Other than that, I felt that I was breathing easier and my taste and smell were still (very slowly) returning. By last night, the cough was less severe and I was feeling much better.
This morning my cough is still there but has become productive. Still only can taste and smell a little, but it’s getting there. Breathing also feels better. Definitely feel like I am out of the woods!
My son and husband are still not showing any real symptoms, other than the productive cough my son has had for 2 weeks. None of us has had a fever at all.
My baby is still kicking and seems to be doing fine! My doctor may begin weekly ultrasounds after my quarantine to make sure she is still doing ok until I have her.
To answer/touch on some of the more frequent questions and concerns:
-I am from Wisconsin
-I only hung out with my friends Saturday and went to work Monday and Tuesday, where there was at least one case before me. I have been home since last Tuesday night.
-Everyone that I came in contact with is aware and my work is closed so we can quarantine. I have tried to make right as much damage as I can, which is also why I made this post. So others do not make my same mistakes.
-Probably the most ridiculous and common concern is that either I copied this from someone else or I made it up completely. This is being brought up because my account “looks fake”. It looks this way because I have made my
profile as private as possible after strangers were liking and commenting on pictures of my son and someone even figured out my last name by zooming into a picture of my ultrasound. So I am just protecting mine and my family’s privacy. But I assure you, this story is true and it is my story.

Hi everyone. I was diagnosed this morning with COVID-19. As many of you know, I am 30 weeks pregnant so this is a little scary, but overall I am doing well so far. I just really feel it is important for me to share the symptoms that I experienced because they were so different from what I have read the symptoms are supposed to be like. So here is what it has been like for me so far:
Saturday March 14- I woke up with a tickle in my throat. It was barely there and I had no temperature so I continued about my day and went to spend the day with my best friend and her wedding party. 😞
Sunday March 15- the cough was a little stronger but still no fever. Nose started running and I was sneezing- obviously I was getting a cold.
Monday March 16- cough was almost gone and still no fever- nose was running more and still sneezing- went to work because I definitely only had a cold.
Monday night- cough came back and was very dry. talked with my sister, an Er nurse, and she insisted that I had the virus. I didn’t agree but, because I was pregnant, wanted to double check. Called my doctor and the triage nurse said that, because I didn’t have a fever, I shouldn’t be concerned and said I was safe to go to work. Sounds good to me!
Tuesday March 17- still no fever. Went to work and felt like death, but mostly because I had cold symptoms. The cough was back though and it was getting worse. I also wasn’t able to taste any food or smell anything. I left work a little early and did not go back.
Wednesday March 18- Cold symptoms- runny nose, cough, exhausted. Could not taste or smell ANYTHING. Not even when I put Tabasco right up to my nose. No fever. Called doctor to see what I could take for my “sinus congestion” (really wanted to taste again). They said I should call if my symptoms get worse, I get a fever, or I have trouble breathing.
Thursday March 19- same as Wednesday, except cough felt “better”. Was getting very frustrated that I could breathe out of my nose but still could not smell or taste anything. No fever.
Friday March 20- Woke up feeling like complete death. Still no fever. I was hardly even able to move without feeling like I ran a marathon. Called the doctor that night. They decided I should go to the ER to check my chest and my oxygen levels. Still never considered it could be COVID. Everything came back normal and they gave me a flu test and the COVID-19 Test. Flu came back negative and they told me that I would find out about the other by Sunday morning.
Saturday March 21- still trouble breathing, starting to smell and taste a very little (yay) and cough has become more productive.
Sunday March 22- I get a call from a nurse who tells me that my test is positive. I was completely shocked. Still no fever. Taste and smell increasing slowly. Still get short of breathe easily and still very tired.
I wanted to share this because, for me, my symptoms did not point to what we expect so far from COVID-19.
You do not always have a fever.
Loss of taste and smell has recently been found to be a symptom, it was for me.
If you have a runny nose and are sneezing, it doesn’t mean it’s something else.
For anyone that is concerned about my baby and my family- the baby has been kicking like crazy like usual and I have been told that there is no reason to think it will get to her or affect the pregnancy at all. I pray that this is correct.
Also, My son had a cough during the week and was tired so I hope to God that this was it and he won’t have anything more. My husband has yet to show any symptoms.
It’s been confirmed that an individual who tested positive for COVID-19 in Iceland has been infected by two strains of the virus simultaneously. The second strain is a mutation of the original novel coronavirus. It is thought that this could be the first recorded dual infection case of this kind. Speaking to RÚV news yesterday, deCODE CEO, Kári Stefánsson confirmed the unusual infection. It is thought the mutated second strain could be more malicious or infectious because people infected by the dual-strain patient were only found to have the second strain. If this is the case, the virus could be mutating to become more infectious over time. However, Kári was unable to confirm this and suggested it could be a coincidence. Kári also noted that the mutation found in the sample taken from this dually-infected patient is one that has not been found outside Iceland, according to international databases.

Well this is.... not good news. A whole new strain. I'd like to know more about how sick they are.

Its likely rock solid info.
Itd be absolutely shocking if it didnt do this though. Typically, they change in a way that is beneficial to both us and the virus. The virus can spread longer and further, and people are at less risk of serious complications or death.
Its why the idea of "herd immunity," as its generally understood, is a much different undertaking when examined through the lens of global travel and trade.

The 2 strains of this virus have been known about for quite some time now, this is not breaking news

The British government is not taking part in European Union procurement schemes to buy ventilators, protective gear for medical staff or coronavirus testing kit, the Guardian understands.
UK and EU sources confirmed the government is not currently participating in any of the EU’s bulk-buying schemes linked to tackling coronavirus.
The UK’s absence from the schemes emerged as the European commission declared on Tuesday that a joint effort to buy protective medical gear on behalf of 25 member states was “a success”.
... British officials have not ruled out joining an EU procurement scheme and stress the NHS will get everything it needs to tackle the pandemic. Meanwhile Boris Johnson recently called on manufacturers to make 20,000 ventilators “at speed”, as the government prepares for a surge in people needing intensive care.

Infections don't just attack weaknesses in the human body. They also exploit weaknesses in human society.
Some disasters are small, and some disasters are just very far away. Covid-19 is neither. It’s big, and it’s here, and it’s fast. a reply to: Zanti Misfit
