Thanks guys. I class all of us as the UK to be honest. I don't look at the seperate areas. We're all on the same island. I best leave the updates to other people so as not to confuse anyone.
I haven't said thank you to EVERYONE on all these threads yet, but will do now as we are all playing our part in keeping others updated. Keep it up.

'Street talk' here in the US via social media today is that people think the US has found a cure and that is why Trump is saying the country will reopen at the end of the two week period on April 2nd. The general belief seems to be that the government is currently testing this cure and doesn't want to announce that the have found a cure until it has been tested on enough people. A LOT of people are saying this is what they believe is going on behind the scenes for Trump to be planning to lift restrictions.
For the record I don't believe this myself, I'm just reporting that a lot of other people do apparently.
Indian PM Narendra Modi has just announced the most wide-ranging lockdown the world has seen yet - with some 1.3 billion people affected.
Here are the key points of his address:
- The lockdown will be "absolute" and in force for 21 days
- No citizen will be allowed to leave their homes during this period
- It will come into force from midnight local time tonight
- Mr Modi said it was the only way to break the cycle of the virus and that if the country could not manage the next 21 days, it would be set back by 21 years
- He also announced a fund of nearly $2bn (£1.7bn) towards health infrastructure in combating the coronavirus
- He called on people not to spread rumours and to follow instructions
- He said he was confident India would emerge from the crisis "successfully"

Worldometers adds that calculation for whatever reason but it's not the way the WHO or virologists calculate the CFR. Go to this link and they calculate it for you. It's number of deaths divided by number of cases. It's not a perfect method but it works if you use the same math for every country to at least give an estimated idea.

I expect the CFR to come down eventually. Don't like how the unresolved (open) cases are treated as resolved though. Doesn't make sense to me. It's either resolved and done with or not.
