The real article states that flu vaccines do not make one more susceptible to infections from the coronavirus family.
I have been seeing some pretty bad misquotes on here alluding to the opposite.

Update from Middletown (Butler County), Ohio:

Things are getting pretty chaotic most places. My town doesn't have any confirmed cases but an email was leaked detailing that our local hospital did in fact have a case earlier in the week. Medical professionals in the area reference it as fact conversationally. The wife and I would have been using that very hospital for all of our prenatal visits but the doctor told us no appointments for anything but emergencies (was really hoping to find the sex of our baby). Doctor officially told us not to leave the house without masks on and not to risk resupply unless we have to. Thankfully we are stocked and I have military and medical training so we are better off than most around here.

Now for the scary stuff. This town already had an unemployment and opiate/meth problem before the outbreak. As a "mini metropolis" we have all walks of life. In the last week our ONG armory has cleaned, inspected, and deployed most of its assets (hummers with communications equipment and soft top trailers) when it usually looks unmanned. The wealthy neighborhoods are looking suspiciously dark and lacking vehicles while the poor areas still have all their cars and signs of habitation.

Drug houses are getting a huge increase in traffic. My neighbor (heroine and meth user/supplier)had over 20 cars stop by today from a staggering variety of people including wealthy senior citizens. Another neighbor had a truck stolen then wrecked into someone else. Yesterday a man vandalized all of the trashcans and several mailboxes because no one was willing to come close enough to stop him. Gunshots are heard at varying distances a few times an hour and if the cops even show up to the call they just say "it was probably someone sighting a rifle." (Illegal in city limits which stretch for miles from here).

And finally the most alarming news; my close friend just quit his job at taco bell nearby because of the lack of sanitation and the fact that as adults are pulling out to protect their families, the positions are being filled by teenagers home from school. Unsurprisingly, they are filthy and are implicitly violating sanitation protocols while laughing it off with no retribution.

Anyone need a medic for their bunker with room for 4 plus pets? Lol

Eta: the old folks looked embarrassed to be at the drug house and didn't appear to be users so I assume they are selling their medications to make ends meet

can you clarify that using the research paper please -- From Phage's link the highlight says

and in the conclusion, the only mention of coronavirus is in this sentence

Which seems to say the opposite of your statement. Am I and others misreading this?

Please explain to avoid any confusion or how did phage put it

My daughter's boyfriend works at a pharma packaging company in KC. She just told me that he was instructed to fill out an "necessary worker form" for "when/if marshall law is put in place." He does not work on weekends.

Been hearing that all over the place. Really seems like serious total shutdown incoming. Something is going to have to be done to get truck drivers food/supplies. Without them, we're all done for. In fact, any fragile break in the chain is going to cause serious mayhem not ever before seen. I really believe these measures are going to cause way more suffering than the virus itself.

The actual statistics are there in the study. It seems the coronavirus numbers are not statistically significant but it is damned confusing.

The overall results of the study showed little to no evidence supporting the association of virus interference and influenza vaccination.

The necessary worker form is not just for martial law. It allows you to work while there are local/state orders to "shelter in place." I have co-workers that have already been provided these documents to carry with them while working.

I'll second you, RP. Testing is so that the medical team knows whether to treat a patient with Tamiflu, or instead with chloroquine + azithromycin (currently), and whether or not to expend lots of PPE.
