Update: Tokyo Japan Feb. 28, 2020 about 9 pm Friday night

Changes are happening very fast in this country. As I post some statements may be something of the past.

1. about 3700 people have been tested in Yamaguchi Prefecture (the prefecture now has state of the art new addition to its hospital) currently all staff doctors are in meeting/training to handle and cope with corona virus patients that may end being treated at this hospital)
2. Hokkaido , Japan is now in a State of Emergency (getting bad there, all started by one Chinese lady as I understand, where about is unknown to me at this time. (fights have been broken out with Chinese here trying to take masks from the Japanese after purchase) explanation on TV
3. Hokkaido residents are asked to stay home till 28 March
4. Hokkaido wants to be a roll model for Japan (something is cook'n here folks) no panic in other parts of Japan
5. Hokkaido has a large Chinese population (possible language problem here)
6. JR railway will continue its route this weekend (further use I don't know )
7. Quarantine is not being used for Hokkaido residents, just asked for everyone to stay put
8. 66 cases of infection now in Hokkaido
9. a collapse of businesses is a real possibility Hokkaido residents are facing (no panic yet has been shown on tv)
10. 1 death reported today (started treatment Feb. 6)
11. 214 cases of infection now reported in Japan (Japan now has the ability to test 3800 people a day)
12. 10 now here have died of the virus
13. 2 children under the age of 10 now are infected
14. Single mothers are no in limbo, they must work (welfare here is difficult to get) only source of income
15. baby-sitting agencies are in need of help
16. child care services are struggling to find help (anyone need a job)
17. people that work at the grocery store , 80% are part timers and won't be able to work (not good for the stores)
18. many area (even my town) are limiting purchases to 1 item per person

if you follow my threads, you'll start to see a real pattern of "what should I be thinking to do" it can happen in my town

again, thank you members for reading my threads, much appreciated

Ya know, as much as i hate it, japan is gonna get hit harder than other countries , not beucause of how they prevent the virus but becauase of their mentality.

With everyone focused so much on work, things gonna get really hard really fast. If its spreads beyound hokaido, ppls have to pick between working and dying, and i think tephey gonna pick working.

3 new cases in the UK - 1 in Wales 2 in England
We are probably where Italy was about a week ago - and they had quarantine zones set up within the week.
So worth preparing for a lockdown or special measures now if you can.

There seems to be a lot of misunderstanding about self isolation, reading a lot of comments all over the place about how many still leave the house, just don't go to work or friends of people who have been to affected places and are still going about their day. The stupidity is ridiculous and I do feel that we may see a bigger problem here than we realise. And because the authorities ie. Boris and co have said bloody nothing - no CLEAR guidance and truth about what we face then we are going to see a lot more cases here. We are being irresponsible.

People have been told on the whole not to self isolate if they show no symptoms despite coming back from affected regions in Italy - surely that is wrong. This virus has been proven to spread asymptomatically and quite honestly on none of the MSM in the UK have we been told that clearly. So we know here on ATS as we research but the average joe just listens to what he is told in a news bulletin.

Anyone out there in the NHS or local government or Military that can offer any perspective or has heard anything? Any movement or escalation? Any gossip?
Heard just now that Boris is having an emergency meeting.

Ok, a current CFR estimate using the numbers from worldometers and the critical case percentages (4.7% of all cases) and deaths of critical cases average (49%) of this

Study of 72,000 COVID-19 patients

www.cidrap.umn.edu...

CFR is calculated deaths/number of cases.

While an epidemic is still going you have to estimate the numbers of people who will die out of the unresolved cases, those who are still sick but not recovered or dead.

Total world cases 83385
Unresolved cases 43925 × 4.7% critical
= 2064.475 × 49% critical cases fatal
= 1011.5275 extra deaths + 2858 known deaths
= 3869.59275 total estimated deaths ÷ 83385 total cases
= .046

CFR 4.6% worldwide

Total cases outside China 4890
Uresolved cases 4493 × 4.7% critical
= 211 × 49% critical cases fatal
= 103 extra deaths + 71 known deaths
= 174 total estimated deaths ÷ 4890 total cases
= .035

CFR 3.5% outside China

But the study with the critical cases estimates does come from China and could therefore be higher.

I just can't see that type of reaction here in the UK, it seems like we would never enact these types of things - residents told to stay home, all schools shut, limiting purchases.
I am also not sure our society would be willing to accept it.
In your opinion MIM are most people ok with it? No major problems - are people quite accepting of schools shut/staying home? thanks

In all my years being on here at ATS I have never encountered a virus thread lasting more than a few pages. We have now entered part 4 of this mega-thread! This virus is not going away anytime soon.

Thank you, Agit8, for your timeless effort to bring us a thread where we can all gather and share information. I appreciate you!

I love reading everyone's thoughts and ideas, and how others from different countries have joined to participate and give their updates on what's going on there, too!

Indeed! They won’t be told though... let’s hope they don’t come to regret it. I’d rather be prepared just incase. I just received a text from my GP surgery saying if you’ve travelled in the last 14 days to any of those areas to stay away and phone 111 for advise. The main headline today was potentially closing schools for 2 months if it starts popping up everywhere which seems to be happening now, there’s lots of articles in the news but on social media too. I’m concerned as I have asthma but mostly about supply issues which will be a nightmare!
Just prep for 2 month at home just in case. Food, water, medicines, cleansing products, vit c, honey, milk and dried milk, cereals, tin fruit, greens, tuna, meats, cranberry juice, kiwis, smash potatoes, cooking oil, stove and gas tins, lighter, candles, masks. If it gets busy local then lockdown for 2 months. I am in Spain with wife and kids 12 & 14 and we have prepped at home so we can lockdown and not after go out th door for 2 months. Just in case. Car outside with full fuel tank. Good luck. See private message!

And killing other people.

Which, TBH, is exactly what I worry about most in the US. Too many people can't take the day off if they are sick. It's basically The Stand but with GoFundMe.

Kind of sounds like what tennisdawg stated in his posts - that it was an engineered virus and it was designed to move through people 3 times - each time worse than the one before.

Not having the same contacts, I have to go on face value of his posts - not rule them out or accept them blindly. To my mind, he hasn't sprouted anything too unbelievable, so I'm holding my assessment pending further information - further information like this case only lends credence to his claims.

I'm swaying :-)

Yeah, second this.

It depends on your budget of course, not everybody can stock up in a pinch, but if you can, think about it like shopping ahead.

Most stuff we buy these days has a long shelf or freezer life, so grab a couple of months in advance.

Then do your weekly or fortnightly (or monthly) shop on top of that, and as you buy new stuff, rotate it through so that nothing gets wasted.

If SHTF and there are supply issues, you're fine.

If you lose your source of income for a short period, you've got supplies for a couple of months (which could stretch), until you can work something out.

If we win the lottery and all dodge a bullet, then # - don't shop for a month and chew through your supplies.

Of course, if you want to go hard-core and start living off grid - you're outside my level of preparedeness, so I'm out of advice...

Stay safe.

So how does one self quarantine for 3 months? The monthly pay in my country is 300$ or so. If we pay all the bills we are left with too few money to buy suplies for 3 months. Ita just barely enough for one month, and that only if we xontinue working cos if we skip even one day we get less and less money.

How would self quarantine work out?

Hope you're right, but I find it hard to believe there are no cases in Indonesia.

This guy might not have helped the cause: FIrst NZ case - he arrived in NZ from Iran, via Bali.

Don't pay the bills and use the next money you get in to prep up. Can sort bills out later when using the prepped food left over. Don't forget the rice! Bread and Crackers. Elderberry juice if can get. noodles, dark chocolate! And booze!

Hanging out with Epstein. Not sure if they're both dead, or both drinking cocktails, but I reckon they're together ;-)

Funny thing - I was literally thinking that exact thing just a couple of days ago... this whole investigation into the Elites peddling kids, has very quickly disappeared from the front of mind, for pretty much the entire planet.

Things that make you go hmmm.

My post was brief today and the reason for it was " I don't want to come across as a fearmongering person". And start some trouble, which I won't do. I left out a few very important matters that are being discussed at the cabinet level in Tokyo. I don't have nor does anyone have access to that, but ... never mind. I've been calling it "street talk" and so far I don't think anything I've mentioned hasn't panned out yet. People in this town that know my wife are business people and in the medical profession and are her friends. Yes, they talk daily and I guess this is why I took an interest in posting here on ATS on the Corona Virus thread and that was to share what many times are just "street talk". Can you believe I heard that NHK has used what I am using, just a different mix of way of saying it, but same words. NO BS
At the present time, Japanese people go along with what is happening. We do have here is what is called "the silent anger". Will they let loose of it, yes , indeed. On my post , I stated the Chinese were taking masks away from people that bought them, some nasty fights broke out (on TV reporting), so what I'm stating here is we have a bit over 2 million foreigners living here. Will they adapt to Japanese way of thinking in times of panic... FK NO
Yes, the signs are above the merchandise stating 1 item per customer. This trend will continue. As far as I can tell, lots of pre-package stuff like "curry in the pouch" is running low at most stores, but its not a problem yet, rice is fair game at any time is panic sets in. It can disappear like a morning spring rainbow, beautiful for a minute then gone.
Shutting of schools is new, but keep in mind, the universities have not be closed.
Employment in my opinion will be in demand in many areas of shortages due to housewives staying home and taking care of the kids. Heck, I probably can get 5 jobs tomorrow if I started looking, but I've been working since 15 and I'm up there in age now...lol
nice to hear from ya, hope this helps

Well that would be because ATS has never encountered a virus capable of causing governments to inact lockdown in such numbers or a virus capable of forcing governments into preparedness for said lockdowns.

The information gathering and the reliability on that information though is only feeding the fires of gullibility so keenly on display with every whim the lieing media outlets spew out.

For the last time - you dont lockdown 11 million people minimum initially but many times that in actuality on whats so far been reported😅 as a flu like virus, similarly you don't hold countless people in quarantine in fear of it's spread all over the globe if it's not that serious, similarly you don't have governments all over the globe inacting and preparing for said lockdowns and quarantines, similarly you dont have major downturns in the markets unless something more sinister is going on, and the list goes on but more importantly you certainly don't have all these running concurrently for no reason.

People are really blind and i don't mind admitting that I'm worried (for them) at just how ignorant alot of people are.

STOP relying people on this reported bs and search your spirits if capable for the truth, this is the preliminary inactment of the "mark" agenda, "for noone may buy and sell less he have the mark." Which will be enforced sooner or later under the premise that it proves your free of symptoms and thus able to be outside doing business as usual.

Pestilence(corona), plague/locusts(iran/africa), earthquakes( watch 1st week of march), wars and rumours of wars (syria, turkey, russia), rumours of peace (Israeli deal of century).

Time is running out real quick. Laugh it of people if you like - I've done my job as ordered again.

Prepare.
