Oh boy, Dow has dropped about 3000 points in the past five days. Not only do we have a severe flu this year, we also have a novel virus to deal with, and a economy showing signs of being on the ropes. Need some good news..
Who was it that was here daily telling everyone that this is all a farce because the -real- indicator if there is a problem is the market? Because if that is the case, well.. we have got a problem.

Looks like major technical support at DOW 26,000 today. Seems to have triggered significant computerized buying on Wall Street. I wouldn't be surprised if the market reaches positive territory before the end of today. Of course I also wouldn't be surprised if it closes just above 26,000. I don't think it breaks that floor today, however.
Holy ffff....
25,766.
WOW. The market tried. I think we're actually now seeing fear driven by news rather than any sugar coating this market as corrections based on the lost month of February. This likely won't be a slowly recovering market. With sell offs this ridiculous, when it does flip the switch, a plus 2,000 point day wouldn't be a shock... but when in the hell do you time the bottom? I'd expect tomorrow to be a ho-hum day.

Getting it doesnt mean death certainly. It means sick as hell for a bit.
Ummm, no, some may get sick as hell, others (apparently quite a lot) may remain asymptomatic, or have only minor symptoms (light cold).
The older you are and/or more underlying health conditions you have - especially respiratory and cardiac - the more likely you'll get really sick. If you have real data to the contrary, by all means...
Seriously, what the hell are you talking about. SOrry if you dont like what I say.. Im NOT going to go along with fear mongering. Im also NOT going to reinforce fears when its unwarranted.
Calm down. Yes, I read your posts. In this one I replied to, you said, and I quote:
"Getting it doesnt mean death certainly. It means sick as hell for a bit."
Where does anything even remotely authoritative say that everyone who tests positive for the virus 'gets sick as hell'? No, you didn't say 'everyone', but it sure could be very easily read that way. Do you not see that?
Considering that all of the data I've seen says most remain either asymptomatic, or get only minor symptoms, I would call your comment bordering on fear-mongering.

Thank you for the good information.
Officials at the Department of Health and Human Services sent more than a dozen workers to receive the first Americans evacuated from Wuhan, China, the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak, without proper training for infection control or appropriate protective gear, according to a whistleblower complaint.
The workers did not show symptoms of infection and were not tested for the virus, according to lawyers for the whistleblower, who is a senior HHS official based in Washington who oversees workers at the Administration for Children and Families, a unit within HHS.
The whistleblower is seeking federal protection because she alleges she was unfairly and improperly reassigned after raising concerns about the safety of these workers to HHS officials, including those within the office of Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar. She was told Feb. 19 that if she does not accept the new position in 15 days, which is March 5, she would be terminated.

The whistleblower has decades of experience in the field, received two HHS department awards from Azar last year and has received the highest performance evaluations, her lawyers said.
The complaint was filed Wednesday with the Office of the Special Counsel, an independent federal watchdog agency. The whistleblower’s lawyers provided a copy of a redacted 24-page complaint to The Washington Post. A spokesman for the Office of the Special Counsel said he could not comment on complaints filed with the office.
