The coronavirus is picking up steam outside China

“I think people are missing the importance of a case like the Canadian traveler to Iran,” he said, referring to a case reported by health officials in British Columbia on Thursday. “This tells us that there has to be a much larger number of people infected in Iran and we’re literally just detecting the tip of the iceberg.”

Even Iranian health officials acknowledged that likelihood. “It’s possible that it exists in all cities in Iran,” health ministry official Minou Mohrez said, according to the official IRNA news agency.

Agree, that is not a good thing.

I certainly hope that the numbers are declining as the CCP numbers show. Not sure I believe them. On the other hand it does not make sense to end an in place quarantine if this thing is spreading so fast. Economic impact would be worse if half the country were dead, dying, or ill.

Kind of a rock and hard place situation I guess.

China's Wuhan to build 19 more makeshift hospitals

Upon their completion, all the makeshift hospitals in Wuhan are expected to offer 30,000 beds on Feb. 25, said Hu Yabo, deputy mayor of Wuhan at a press briefing on epidemic prevention and control.

To date, Wuhan has converted 13 existing venues into temporary hospitals, with a total of 13,348 beds, and about 9,313 beds have been put into use to treat patients with mild symptoms, said Hu.

In more severe cases, infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure and even death.

Holy cow, I hadnt heard that! Who the heck knows.. all I know is at this point it doesnt matter. We just have to calmly contain what we can. That link makes me want to cover myself in tinfoil.. LOL! I could speculate like a maniac,but this thread is being monitored for veracity. I agree with it too.

You know.. the husband and I ..in 2018 we had issues having security clearance and international travel.. a lot of federal restrictions and APACS stuff and new changes to the foreign clearance guide. There were new things and I didnt put 2 adn 2 together. China has always required more monitoring ( I never wanted to or went to China ) but it was one of the countries that required more rigorous monitoring at that point. I was thinking the other day that the Feds have a lot more information than we know about concerning the virus and its movements.

That doesn’t look like a sheet of plastic that was stated That was used to separate the infected. That looks like a torture devise for the claustrophobic, and I seriously doubt that is authorized by FAA to transport people especially when there is no emergency egress with portholes for situational awareness in the event of an actual emergency.
