Of course, but I do think it matters how this virus started. China seems lax in keeping this virus inside their labs, especially since Beijing had 4 different separate incidents at their lab. China's secrecy over this matter, and how they treat their citizens, makes me feel that they shouldn't even be involved in studying dangerous pathogens.

They also have a history of botching their vaccines. IDK...This whole thing just stinks.

It may be credible, it may even prove to be correct, however, regardless, it is the wrong response for a country's government to make to the potential of a serious contagion.

There is something in dont get..

Let’s look t’at the facts: There is definitively a virus.

IF you remove China from the equation, it is a very mild virus ...

WHY ?

Your answer is as good as mine...

Is there really a bad virus out there in China ? Is china making this up to hurt economy and us companies . Is china making this up for a reason ?

The main problem with this virus is how one catches it. So far outside o f China it doesn't seem to be a killer (major anyway)

WHO warned to be very cautious of reports of falling numbers.

It doesn't necessarily take a bad virus to cause some major issues. It just takes something that can make a lot of people sick all at once. If it can do that, it runs the risk of overwhelming critical systems like health care and disrupting supply lines because people are just too sick to work even if they aren't desperately ill. Think of it like a really bad flu season where everyone who will get it is knocked flat on their butts at the same time everywhere.

It's scary because we've never had that happen in most everyone's living memory and because it will disrupt daily life for a period of weeks to months.

Thanks for the update, but...

Can't answer about nationalities , privacy needs to be considered.

Oh, please... refusal to provide details on nationalities, ages, sex, etc - as long as no names or other identifying info is released - has nothing to do with privacy concerns.

I think the biggest factor in this is the unknown. We have so many questions, so many potential ways this could go, and I'm really not sure anyone has the answers. We want answers, we want plans, we want action, and instead we're watching a counter on a web page and wondering how big a jump this refresh will bring.

In the end, there will be both panic AND a lack of confidence in the government.

I've never in my life 'had confidence in the government', unless you count being confident that if they get involved with something, they will screw it up far worse than if they had left it alone.

I just watched the video and it just jumped out at me. There is the bus driver and another person wearing hazmat suits, the full gear, sitting on the bus. They may have been in contact with the virus or about to come in contact with the virus when transporting positive tested passengers.
Are they thoroughly disinfecting the bus?
Are these 'untrained scientifically' people who have been deployed understand how to use this equipment, to ensure there is no accidental cross contamination or spreading to the general public.
IMHO this is all theater.

No one of non Chinese/SEA decent has died of this virus! That is a flashing light! The fact that the numbers getting infected are small in comparison to those in China! That's the 2nd flashing light! The numbers being reported by China and the extremes employed in China do not equate, when you consider measures taken to deal with flu epidemics are so few yet many more people die and each year of such. That's another flashing light! Hospital and crematorium construction and usage does not map to so few deaths. That's another flashing light! How many FL's do you need to know that there is something else at play other than a virus that does not kill non Chinese/SEA's!

Its not a matter of if there is anything else at play, but rather what it is ? And what is known points to?

I just see this story....man i dont know what to believe...the story is not verified at all ,so it can be just false story again..

Here's something to note..

Crew Member Dies Aboard Carnival Ecstasy:

crew-center.com...

At first I thought this was the dead Philipino on the cruise ship in New Jersey. It's not. This is another Philipino crew member who worked as a galley steward. They clean all food prep work in the galley areas, wash dishes and pots, clean floors, etc...They also execute proper waste handling aboard the ship.

It seems he went to his cabin to rest and never woke up. Unofficial sources says he died from a sudden cardiac arrest. He was only 32 years old.

With Chinese citizens just keeling over dead in the street, I thought it was worth a mention here. This is a second Philipino crew member to die on a cruise ship.

And I can't find anything on Carnival Ecstasy, other than changing their forms due to coronavirus.

The Chinese health system has been overwhelmed if not overrun. The rest of the world, not so far...

The closing of international travel from China by most nations (including Russia!) curbs the spread. Adding to that, mandatory quarantines of persons traveling/contact from the regions affected.

All of this creates this false narrative of "it's only persons of SEA origins".

The US now is researching the live virus, has been for a few weeks. One must have the live virus to research.

Da ngerous but important tool

I am a ferry ride and some miles from here:

GNL

My wife is in medicine and works walking distance from the afore mentioned. Her comment to me was "normally a docile facility and now looks like a beehive". On her side, they are constantly rehearsing protocols which never has occurred at this level according to her...taking a great deal of her time.

The treatment, care and diagnostics are not comparable in China vs. the rest of the world. This is not an 'Asian only' virus.
