If ever there was a poster child for smart idiot that guy is it. It’s in the plumbing? Really? This is the best he has?

It’s airborne. They just can’t admit it.

Well... how do they treat their waste water? Do they have desalination plants on board? Or do they treat their sewage?

I seem to recall mention that this thing causes diarrhea, so, if they do recycle waste water, maybe it is in the plumbing? Wasn't there was also a report of this happening in some big building in China?

you might be right on that, my friend in Hong Kong said they were joking about it in Hong Kong, but his wife said it to be true. thats all i heard for now about, nothing in the news though

That video really gets under my skin.

Well, just to play devils advocate...

How do we know when or where that video was taken, or what it was about? It could have absolutely nothing to do with this thing.

It was interesting how in the very beginning of the video, the guy was just standing there, then, almost as if someone off camera had shouted 'Action!', he went into action tossing stuff off the truck.

Sorry, context is everything, and here we have none.

Think there was links posted yesterday and articles that said they think it was passed from the staff doing the testing in Cambodia ( either look back or google it for those wanting to look) not 100% sure on that but certainly looks like an issue.

Virus starting to affect China's military?

Last week, ICHRD reported that 10 PLA soldiers and 15 armed police officers have tested positive for the virus in Hubei.

The organization also reported that a Chinese soldier belonging to PLA’s Navy Submarine Force, located in the island province of Hainan, is infected with the virus.

More recently, on Feb. 13, ICHRD reported that a soldier on China’s aircraft carrier Shandong was infected with the virus in Sanya City in Hainan. As a result, about 100 soldiers who were stationed at that aircraft carrier are now being quarantined.

ICHRD added that it obtained confirmation of the infection case from an unnamed source in Jiyang District, Sanya.

As he points out in the vid either A:they want it to spread (not raising any alarms, least nefarious reason) B: they are incompetent, and know it’s outta their control, or C: both.

Or D), there is no evidence at this time to support the fear that what is happening in China will happen here.

NONE.

There's a great book I have called 'Pandemic: The terrifying threat of new killer plagues.' (bought it 10 years ago) There is a section on SARS and has some interesting information on how hard it is to contain:

"In September 2003, a twenty-seven-year-old research student at Singapore's high security microbiology laboratories in the National University of Singapore fell ill. The laboratory housed samples of the SARS virus, and soon tests indicated the student might have the virus on board. She had been researching the West Nile virus in a laboratory that was also conducting research using active SARS coronavirus. An investigation into what went wrong concluded that cross-contamination of West Nile virus samples with the SARS virus was the source of the infection." (They quarantined 25 people and were able to contain it.)

"A similar situation in Taiwan was not so simple. Again, the virus jumped out of a bio-containment research lab, this time using a forty-four-year-old researcher. It appears that on December 5, 2003 he cleaned up some contaminated liquid in his lab. He was trying to get to a conference in Singapore and was possibly in a bit of a hurry. Indeed, he traveled to Singapore before coming down with symptoms and returning home. The situation was soon contained and no one else was infected-but it was a close shave."

"On Saturday, April 24, 2005 the Chinese authorities sealed off a SARS research laboratory in its capital. Again, the virus had broken free and was on the loose. It had infected a 26 year-old woman who worked in the lab. This time there was a delay in symptoms and action. The nurse had traveled by train from Beijing to her home in Hefei on March 23, then traveled back to Beijing." She had managed to infect her mother, who died. A nurse aiding the lab worker also became infected.

These are all SARS incidents that escaped the lab and how easy it is for the SARS virus to get out. This, to me, makes it all the more possible that we are currently dealing with a virus that escaped the Wuhan Bio lab.

Can you give a summary of the article? You have to subscribe to the website in order to read it and I won't do that.

***Ticks me off that all these articles make you do that. (Not your fault, though)

So there you go. Indeed, a #ty practice, specially when the author has published it for free somewhere else.

It's possible, but again, it's not likely to be an engineered one. Researchers who know these things don't see those signs of tampering. It could just be that there has been low-level infection with just enough passage to small strings of humans long enough that whatever strain this was finally made that final, necessary mutation on its own. At that point, it really doesn't matter whether the parent strain came from a lab or out of animal.

It didn't even have to start there. It just needed to come together in one person and move on out from there.

**EDIT**

It might also explain some of China's initial complacency. If this was a thing they'd seen from time to time in isolated clusters, then it's no wonder they didn't immediately freak out over it and downplayed the concerns of those on the ground who may have recognized much sooner that this time, it was different.

But as everyone familiar with this site should know, absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. Your D option is really B's excuse for incompetence.

Even if we have 10 persons trying to give some links with hope, good news and welcoming numbers, immediately we will have the same CoronApocalypse disciples trying to say its BS,

Not just that, but rabidly attacking you, claiming you said things you didn't, providing non-answers to questions you asked - or worse, answers to question you didn't ask - then attacking you when you point that out.

Good thing I have rhinoceros thick skin...

The number for Japan is not right. The number is only for those on the ship.
The actual number is 705 infected in Japan. Tokyo Time: 9 pm Wednesday

Or, my D) option is at least as credible as the A) option that they actually want it to spread and are working toward that goal.
