Survivors?
Why do we not here from them? I have speculated that after recovery the lungs are scarred, seriously damaged along with some other organs such as the kidney and the heart.
Permanent disabilities.
Others on ATS have speculated that the coronavirus impacts asians more severely than others.

Once again we do not know. The narrative is being closely managed.

Regardless we need to question why. What survivor information is being kept from the public?

So now we are hearing continuously that people are discriminating against asians. Avoiding them, avoiding businesses and markets or communities such as China Town.

Countries are bringing home citizens because of fear that survivors will be ostracized. People will isolate them.

The result is that survivors are reluctant to be identified and so do not go on any social media to broadcast the "Yea I survived!" podcast.

as a degreed biotechnologist, having read and understood papers and watched the political responses, i have not yet made my speculation known. i would like to do that now....

... this is not a naturally occurring bug. it came from a lab. no doubt in my mind about it.

.... the most credible reason for the higher death count in China thusfar is that the more serious biological responses (such as cardiac failure, liver and kidney failure, and the acute respiratory disease) are due primarily to reinfection and an extreme secondary immune response. (p.s. a "healthy immune system" will not work in your favor and may actually make it worse.)

.... the reinfection also gives us an idea of why there is such wide variation in the reported incubation period and also the prolific failures in the detection of the disease.

.... accordingly, it seems obvious that this virus was released upon the population (by accident or intended, i decline to speculate) earlier than the December timeframe. October feels right.

.... finally, i suggest that it's very likely that you, me, and a large fraction of the population have already been exposed to and suffered some minor illness from initial exposure to the virus. this bug is extremely virulent and is circling the globe many times over by this point.

it is behaving exactly the way it has been programmed to.

i would be happy to clarify any of these points and any other questions you might have.

good luck, ATS.

danny

If it has been over the globe, why would reinfections occur mainly in China, specifically Hubei? Population density, a specific mutation, or re-releases from the lab?
And why only Chinese/SEA fatalities?

Why is it sometimes having so much trouble infecting people? The german dude in La Gomera didn't manage to infect the 20 people he was in contact with during the flight to Tenerife, the ferry to La Gomera, and in the process of renting a car and driving to the hotel room, let alone the 4 people he was traveling and sharing a room with.

Yet, infection rates in China and the cruisers are incredibly high.
Because Asian carriers are more infectious or something. Now 2 dead in Iran but Asian. So it can infect anybody but is mainly more dangerous for Asians? It all points back to being engineered to effect Asians more. Is that because it was based on such!

RUMORS -Grain of salt

Seeing rumors on Reddit that Illinois is now testing all new patients as well as Arizona.

Someone claims his wife is a nurse in AZ and they received instructions to test all new patients. He also said she was told not to disclose it but he didn't care as people needed to know.
Guess there was or is, a gem show in Tuscon that draws a lot of Chinese vendors.

I read here that 700+ in Washington were being watched for Covid19. My eldest child is in healthcare throughout the greater Seattle area, and shared 712 are being watched because of the one case in Everett. It began as three hundred being watched, then expanded too the present number.

The man fell sick after returning from a visit to China and was admitted on Jan. 20.

Nobody did get sick and the patient went home after 17 days in isolation.

Health officials say the man is in isolation at home and is being monitored by public health workers.

After discovering the man had coronavirus, the Washington State Department of Health began monitoring dozens of people who came into close contact with him.

I found this rather concerning:

SEATTLE — Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) who work for American Medical Response (AMR) ambulance company have expressed outrage and frustration after two EMTs transported a patient with possible novel coronavirus (COVID-19) but weren’t warned of the danger.

Public Health – Seattle & King County called for the transport on Saturday. The county alerted AMR that the patient was possibly infected with COVID-19. But that important message never made it to the first responders.

I doubt Seattle is the only big city dealing with this.

AMR employees took to a closed Facebook group this week. Dozens of comments were aimed at their employer for the communication failure.

“The communication breakdown is dangerous and could worsen the chance of spreading this disease,” one EMT wrote.

The call out on Saturday was unusual. AMR dispatchers directed the EMTs to place a mask on the patient’s door and head back to the ambulance. Further instruction included not to make contact with the patient and to allow him to ride in the back of the ambulance alone. In another unusual move, AMR dispatchers told the EMTs to take the patient to a specific motel in King County, about an hour away from Seattle.

That prompted the following written exchange, obtained by the KING 5 Investigators:

EMT: “Is this patient suspected of having a contagious infection?”

Dispatcher: “Yes.”

EMT: “Coronavirus?”

Dispatcher: “Unknown”

There are a lot more articles on king5,com , such as "RELATED: King County health officials sent suspected coronavirus cases to motel".....
It looks like pandemic plans need a little fine tuning. king5 has so many articles that it's going to take me awhile to get through them all.

Might be time for a healthy warning? I dont know.. I just googled it...

The colossal Tucson Mineral Show is by far the largest gem and mineral show on earth. It is not a single show or held at a single location. The Tucson Show consists of dozens of major independent shows held at various locations throughout the city.

An estimated 60,000+ people from more than 20 countries attend this event held in early February. More than 25 museums and universities from around the world, including the Smithsonian Institution, the American Museum of Natural History, and the Sorbonne in Paris bring special collections and displays to the show

I've mentioned this previously but according to thewuhanvirus.com the mortality rate of COVID-19 is slowly creeping up. It was hovering around 2%, a few days later it was at 2.44%, then 2.55%, now it's at 2.67%

I know this is based on "official" numbers, but want to point it out. Could be the powers that be giving us a "slow drip" and slow ramp up of the truth about seriousness of this thing as to not cause mass panic

Chump change, try Mardi Gras. I am living it and pretty freaked out about going to the parades but my wife is insistent about it. I told her if my internal DEFCON level is raised once more, I will be instituting martial law in the household, lol.

One of the recent recovered patients here in Europe, not sure if was one of those German cases, according him, it wasn't anything more than a Little stronger cold, but nothing out of the ordinary...except for the boring quarantine. According him if he didn't know about it he would have thought as just another typical winter flu but as he stated, a Lil bit strong, but not unusual at all.
About my country here in Portugal just another typical spring weather at least here in the south, Algarve region, famous for beach, sun sea and sand... Sunny and warm weather right now, some people already on the beach, 21 cent degrees, sky clear, and according yesterday survey by a famous newspaper out of 5 persons only 1 are a Lil bit worried about the virus, and believe me that we have a great Chinese community here... Stay safe, right now time for another fresh beer and swimming pool... No flights till the end of the month.. Peace, AD

PS... Maybe virus hates this warm temperatures... Who knows

Looks to me like this other doctor... the one that first opened his mouth... same mouth was shut shortly after... then was reported as infected... later as dead and finally ccp came out to say he is still alive
)

EDIT: seems to be another director of a second hospital is ill.

Strange news all the time and turning 180 degrees from message to message.

All in all I would assume they are keeping low profile about this virus to lower the panic risk (and get people in China working again) -> still 2/3 of production closed down.
If this situation persists for at least another month... say goodbye to the world economy.

Biggest problem might be drugs coming from china and india... india is getting 80% of resources from china... so most of the worldwide drug production is shut down right now... which is at least a bit concerning. Especially if this will spread more. There might be shortages soon.

Oktober last year there have been already shortages of over 500 drugs. (This was reported in German media)
So... yeah.

The damage is already done. Guess they don’t want to make it even worse. Now trying to get stuff up and running again in China.
