Our results imply that overactivation of T cells, manifested by increase of Th17 and high cytotoxicity of CD8 T cells, accounts for, in part, the severe immune injury in this patient. X-ray images showed rapid progression of pneumonia and some differences between the left and right lung.
In addition, the liver tissue showed moderate microvascular steatosis and mild lobular activity, but there was no conclusive evidence to support SARS-CoV-2 infection or drug-induced liver injury as the cause.
There were no obvious histological changes seen in heart tissue, suggesting that SARS-CoV-2 infection might not directly impair the heart.
Although corticosteroid treatment is not routinely recommended to be used for SARS-CoV-2 pneumonia, according to our pathological findings of pulmonary oedema and hyaline membrane formation, timely and appropriate use of corticosteroids together with ventilator support should be considered for the severe patients to prevent ARDS development.
Lymphopenia is a common feature in the patients with COVID-19 and might be a critical factor associated with disease severity and mortality.
Our clinical and pathological findings in this severe case of COVID-19 can not only help to identify a cause of death, but also provide new insights into the pathogenesis of SARS-CoV-2-related pneumonia, which might help physicians to formulate a timely therapeutic strategy for similar severe patients and reduce mortality

- Diamond Princess: 3700 people cases: 454 = 12.3% deaths: 0 = 0% serious: 19 = 0.51% recovered: 17 = 0.46%
They haven’t tested all 3700 passengers. Only 1700... which makes the % more like 26%
On one hand, they are likely testing people who show symptoms, so the untested have a bias toward not infected.
On the other hand, with only 0.46% recovered, only time will tell if they recover or go serious.
The 0% deaths part is encouraging.
From what the couple on the ship who did an interview said.... they were testing in age groups. The oldest first. So no, they are not testing just those who have symptoms.

The flight to California: The aircraft that went to Travis Air Force Base carried 177 people, he said on a briefing call today. Seven of those people “had isolated coronavirus positive,”and an additional three were isolated during the flight because of fever. These three people were not virus positive by test.
"isolated coronavirus positive" - that's a new term I haven't heard before
via CNN
maybe it just meant they were isolated because they were corona virus positive

Definitely. Public restrooms are a double edge sword, needing them to wash hands, but breathing in air after someone just unloaded could get you sick. The odor you are smelling are small particles of fecal matter that could have the virus on it. I have seen places with a wash sink for hands out separate of the restroom but those are rare.

Apologies... conclusively debunked perhaps not, but the paper that caused the initial furor was retracted.

Unfortunately you are incorrect.
Why 'unfortunately'?
They raised the mandatory retirement ages over the last decade. It’s currently 55 for women and 60 for men. It will increase over the next 20 years to match current US retirement ages.
Ok - but it is still mandatory, not voluntary. And obviously this was the result of their one child policy, which I believe they recently changed too.
They raised the age because not enough young people paying into the system.
That was my main point. By killing off the older 'useless eaters', they alter the ratio of young to old dramatically, thereby engaging a shortcut to 're-setting' the system to viability. Brutal yes, heartless yes, but effective.
While I fully believe they would cull their older people. This is not the way I feel they would go about it. Family ties are very strong In China.
For the average population, maybe, but for the CCP in general? You believe they give a crap about family ties? Xi turned in his own father, for goodness sake.
Lots of people here are relying on data showing only old people die, however there’s many videos of perfectly healthy younger people with the virus getting it. And frankly we cannot trust anything CCP says. For all we know perfectly healthy young Chinese people could’ve dying in droves and we wouldn’t know.
Gee like now.
Yeah, and likewise, those videos could be of something totally different.
You're right, we don't know...

here we go again... the medical team on the flight used what test ? evidently the test for coronavirus for 7 people on the evacuation flight
the other 3 person, with symptoms of high fever... are likely being administered medicines for relieving the Lungs from the COVID19 stress...or a different ailment than Coronavirus the other 7 are infected with....
see....the 7 persons with the virus had positive test results, the 3 others that later had high fevers did not test positive for the virus,,, What Gives ?? the test kits for coronavirus are useless for testing for CoviD (disease)…
so the medical team on the flight to USA had only 1 type of test kit for 3 distinct types of afflictions -> ergo
how do we trust the infections/test results/deaths/recovery stats ?
we got a deliberate cluster F**** going on, buried under mountains of minutia, useless data, spin, intentional confusion about the diseases/contaminations/and quarantines

hinese director Chang Kai has passed away at the age of 55 after contracting COVID-19, sparking anger across China after his last words were revealed. The Hubei native had alleged that his elderly father was refused treatment after falling ill and eventually passed away at home after being turned away by numerous medical institutions. His mother and older sister have also passed away after being infected with the virus.
SARS-CoV-2 *NOT* genetically engineered. This paper was popped up about three hours ago, and argues through genetic analysis that wherever this thing came from, it was not created intentionally, but occurred naturally.
