The hospital ships are basically geared towards trauma -wounds (battle casualties), so that makes good sense. While you could probably do different sorts of care, locking contagious people in a ship that you may want/need later somewhere else seems less than ideal. Using them to treat trauma patients and alleviate load for other hospitals meanwhile is a good use of them.

It's a "Cash" now (Combat Surgical Hospital, CSH). The problem they are running up against is most Cashes are Reserve units. And several of the remaining are deployed in combat theaters or overseas.

If you activate Reserve units, you are essentially are taking them from their "day jobs". And they are working those "day jobs" in the medical field, mostly hospitals in cities that are going to need manpower. So it's really not helping surge the real shortage which is trained medical staff. DOD is pledging lots of beds, tents, and equipment (scrubs, masks, respirators, etc), which should help.

Mind you this is going on after weeks of yours and every other news organization around the world having used the same terminology. We have the internet, youtube videos and radio shows pointing out the hypocrisy, yet they soldier on.

Once the dust settles how do they carry on delivering the news without any credibility?

Idk, but I think D.C. should be shut down and all congress/senate stay and get this ish done for the people. You take a job in public office you better be damn prepared to solve problems like this. Not send everyone home indefinitely like Pelosi and the other idiot wants to do. They swore and oath and have an obligation to the citizens of this country.

I've been listening to CNN and MSNBC most of today while driving. They are for the most part focusing on the Coronavirus Calamity that is coming in 10 to 14 days. The same Calamity they've been predicting, in 10 to 14 days, since the middle of February.

Tucker Carlson is on right now. Not questioning the insane projections being made by this doctor who has been on his show every other day for the last month.

Thats part of the hilarity to me. Countless liberals were calling for the UBI of $1,000/m, now they're saying $1000 isn't enough, and calling for up to $4,000 a month. I'm all for helping people out, but where's the money come from? Is it for everyone or just those affected by the virus? What about unemployed people? What about people who can't work? What about the excess food usage due to no school, and people staying home more often? If this gets worse, its going to be absolute hell for the majority of Americans. Those of you well off, or in even decent financial situations should be okay. Its the rest of us that will be screwed.

Right, but the problem wirh activating Reserve units to have a CSH take trauma patients is that you'll be robbing doctors and nurses from city hospitals to do it. Probably won't help relieve the pressure much, and makes a headache for hospital staffing.

The hospital ships are manned by active -duty troops from the Navy and Marines and don't have that issue.

Saw an interesting theory I thought I would share in regards to the Google censors being busted.

What may have happened is President Trump may have declared Google, Twitter et al Public Utilities under the Stafford Act and set a team of engineers to the task of disabling their censors.

He announced that he had 1,400 engineers on payroll to help handle the coronavirus outbreak. Lol

So they loosen the restrictions on things like "adrenochrome?" This has no bearing on coronavirus. This is preparation for the storm. Of course, we know that part already. But declaring Google a public utility was brilliant, if that's what he did.
