I think this is appropriate considering her pattern of behavior.
She is high and mighty, time for a fall.

I doubt The House will do anything with it, since they
are all in the same boat, but lets hope that boat
sinks soon after the election!

Re: "Road Side Bomb on her way home"

*Checks to see if a "Road Side Bomb" is the name of Pelosi's favorite alcoholic mixed drink*

Lol..the guy is an Iraq veteran, I'm pretty sure he knows what a roadside bomb is...

Anyway...we all know where this is going.

Pelosi is not going to hear anything about this. People are going to be on their soapboxes crying there is no justice and simple folk like officer Buckles will take matters into his own hands. People die....some more people die and in the end you will all hug and erect some monument to remind yourself of how this can never happen again.

This #-show is just getting started and the rest of us (non-US) get to watch it in all it's splendor....popcorn anyone?

Peace

Whoever willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, or destroys, or attempts to do so, or, with intent to do so takes and carries away any record, proceeding, map, book, paper, document, or other thing, filed or deposited with any clerk or officer of any court of the United States, or in any public office, or with any judicial or public officer of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.

The Department of Commerce, as well as The National Weather Service are official public offices. Trump and Ross committed felonies when they presented and promoted a deliberately inaccurate altered map.

Sigh

You do understand the military draws on and calculates on federal agency created weather and topographical maps that are federal issued all the time.

And Trump is the commander and chief.

How often was the prediction of the storms path changed?
How accurate was the unaltered map concerning landfall by the way. Is an inaccurate weather map or an inaccurate weather prediction really a “felony”?

As an independent, I say give her a raise. That was priceless!
She pretty much turned a thinly-veiled MAGA rally on its head.

Trump started that self congratulatory speech with a whopping lie. He had the balls to stand in front of that body and claim that the state of the union was stronger than it has ever been. What a whopper. The very fact that the vice president and the speaker of the house stood there waiting for Trump and never even looked at one another was more of an example of the state of the union than his lie. That she offered her hand to shake and was turned away from likewise is another example.

Here is my state of the union. '' The union is divided and torn asunder'' We are no longer one nation, we are two nations, each with little understanding of the other. Our only recourse as individuals is to label the other side as demented and traitorous. We are right and they are wrong. I am right and you are wrong." That is my ''state of the union'' and much closer to the truth than his '' we are stronger than ever before.'' crap.

the state of the union is so much more than partisan politics. It's pride, consumer confidence, and direction. So I choose to believe that our union is indeed strong. But it could use some unification.

I think what Pelosi did was stupid, petty and childish. it goes directly along the lines of "he started it", and that sh!t needs to stay in kindergarten, where it belongs. But aside from making some statement on the house floor, just to be on record that the speaker is an idiot, I don't think anything should be done. Elections are coming up, and the voters will decide what happens from here.

I do hope we can end the house majority, if only to stave off more of this complete and utter nonsense.

Filing charges for immature behavior on the part of the Speaker?

Really?

Tit for Tat, I guess, is a viable political tactic?? **sigh**

A verbal reprimand, at most. The fact that that episode is forever on the interwebs is punishment enough.

Stupid, as well as immature.

It was petty for her to do that.

It's petty for him to file charges.

very important National Weather map

Lol really? You sure it wasn't a very...very important map? Can you tell me what kind of official document is that map? Was it just printed as current weather, was it a registered document?

Geez Sookie you even broke your own record of ridiculousness.

That is what I saw as well. He easily may not have even seen it being as wrapped up in what he was going to say and all. Her offer was, well, maybe traditional, or at least an overture for peace but I cannot tell so I don't place much value on being critical in either direction.

As far as her tearing the paper, well, I have stated elsewhere in this thread that I found it juvenile. Had I been her at that moment and had I succumbed to the temptation as she did I would be very reproachful of myself immediately and offered a apology publicly

Really? Pulling down her pants and doing the other option would have been better don't you think. To sit there and pre-rip the pages so that she can show her power was weak sauce.

At this point that is all she has left, so who cares.

Remember history when they were not even going to invite him to House of Representatives chamber for past SOTU so there is history here beyond the impeachment. The funny part is Trump ignored her so much he had no clue what she did behind the whole time. Not one word or look...boy how dare he!!

No, not really. I know the hold he has over people and it is unmatched by any of the leaders running against him.

The mounting pressures that we as a nation and we as the people of the world have seemed to me to have been beyond our ability to correctly address now for over half a century. We have failed to find solutions to these encumbrances that stand in the way of a sustainable future and when in the past we have even managed to listen to people and or politicians who try to focus on them, they are soon overwhelmed by the loudness of backwash from all the '' everything is fine and all we need to do is just keep doing what we have been doing'' crowds. So disappointed? Nah, just resigned.
