Excellent reading about the situation on the ground in Hong Kong
redflag.org.au...
‘ The government has #ed up big time. There’s no other way of putting it. Almost two decades after severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS, another coronavirus) killed 299 people in the territory amid claims of coverups and inaction, Hong Kong appears thoroughly unprepared. The city’s vaunted free market capitalism has failed. There aren’t enough masks. There’s no sanitiser. Four quarantine zones have hastily been declared, but they are either in or are close to residential areas and some of the locals are apoplectic. Why hadn’t proper sites on government land been prepared earlier?’

I'm still trying to catch up on all of this, but (correct me if I'm wrong or if it has been debunked)
The virus is mutating. It may have a incubation period of up to 40~ days. If not 40 days then in multiple cycles of 20ish days. It is spreading in Hong Kong and Japan rather quickly. Some evidence points to it actually being created. Most countries are not reporting cases as to not spread panic. Sound about right?

“We’re a little disappointed in the lack of transparency coming from the Chinese, these numbers are jumping around. ... There was some surprise,” top White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow told reporters in Washington.
Vir Biotechnology,, a clinical-stage immunology company focused on immune approaches to treating and preventing serious infectious diseases, today announced that it has identified two monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) that bind to SARS-CoV-2 (previously known as “2019-nCoV”), which were originally found because they bind and neutralize the original SARS-CoV.
“We are in the process of assessing neutralization with a pseudo-virus,” said George Scangos, Ph.D., CEO of Vir. “In addition, we are working with international partners to assess the capacity of these antibodies to neutralize the live virus, SARS-CoV-2.”
Antibody-based therapies are different from vaccines and have distinct attributes that may make them potentially valuable, particularly in pandemic settings:
Antibodies can be therapeutic and prophylactic, meaning they can be used as a treatment for people who have been infected and can also protect people who have been, or may be, exposed to infection.
Whereas a vaccine requires an individual to make an immune response, which can take weeks and be insufficient, an antibody provides the immune response, which can be effective within hours of injection and is not dependent upon the individual making an immune response to the pathogen.

Does this mean that steroids make it seem worse? Sorry if I'm being a bit dense here .. a reply to: Advantage
Yeah, when they gave them to counteract the crazy lung adn pulmonary inflammation the virus didnt abate and was able to take more of a foothold in the system. I imagine because it lowered the immune system.. then you can haev this weird bounceback.
