Yeah I guess it could be the same result but by different mechanism. I mean it looks like the granulomas and fibrosis.. but that takes a LOT longer than this virus is effecting people from symptoms to death or recovery.

Oh and theyre treating it with c-quinine with favorble results. The methylprednisolone was causing delay in viral clearance... So no corticosteroids...

I'd say a lot of things look very similar on an X-ray. Haven't you ever had the doctor say, "We saw something." and then launch into a list of things it *might* be, starting with the most innocuous and ending up with the "oh, sh!t" possibility?

Nah, sun itself wouldn't a problem per se because they know it lives on surfaces. It probably wouldn't survive concentrated UV radiation well, but neither do we.

The only way we'd know is if this thing refuses to spread into some of the hotter climates in the world. We might also have a clue if it has trouble getting established in some of the more tropical ones despite otherwise ideal conditions to spread a pandemic disease of this type.

The virus is mutating. It may have a incubation period of up to 40~ days. If not 40 days then in multiple cycles of 20ish days. It is spreading in Hong Kong and Japan rather quickly. Some evidence points to it actually being created. Most countries are not reporting cases as to not spread panic. Sound about right?

Humor is welcome, especially today. I've been researching this coronavirus event for weeks, and this afternoon the magnitude finally hit me. Not only the realization of what we're all in for, but the possibility of it being unleashed upon humanity intentionally brought tears to my eyes.

I've said this on a previous post. I hope this event has a silver lining. I hope it brings into focus mankind's hubris and folly. I hope the lesson we learn is from now on we use our knowledge, resources, and talent to not find better ways to kill each other but better ways to live together.

I wouldn't be surprised if they just stop reporting them at some point. I know they were late yesterday, and probably are just late again today. BUT A lot of "officials" were canned yesterday, sounds like a lot of changes are happening over there. Also, society over there could be beginning to collapse. I know that sounds insane, but depending on the actual severity of this thing, it's not out of the question.

Yeah, when they gave them to counteract the crazy lung adn pulmonary inflammation the virus didnt abate and was able to take more of a foothold in the system. I imagine because it lowered the immune system.. then you can haev this weird bounceback.
