I wonder just how many people are under self quarantine throughout the states.

I am basically, or at least my wife is. She came back from China earlier last week. She won't be venturing out until sometime next week. My employer told me to work-from-home in the meantime - just in case.

Although, I have personally ventured out to buy groceries at least once, so not truly self-quarantine I guess. More like, just trying to minimize contact, much as I would if I had the flu or something.

I'm certain of that. Way too many flights out Wuhan before the quarantine. Definitely concerning.

I admire some people’s blind optimism, though i think it is ultimately worse than panic mongering.

OK as promised a short update.

We spoke to our friend who is in quarantine at Travis AFB in CA. She returned from Wuhan on the 2nd evac flight on Feb 3rd/4th.

She told us briefly;

- It is as bad as the videos we asked her about (everything linked here)
- She saw fallen people on the street from apartment, bodies taken away to ?
- She thinks she smelled a dead person in the apartment building
- Army dressed as police took to the street of Wuhan around January 20th from her memory
- Quarantine is super strict, people who sneak out are not seen again and don't return home
- If you step outside your apartment without mask, off to the "hospital" you go
- Rumors that the newly built hospitals are "wait to die camps"
- Families all over saying they lost 1 or more family members by WeChat, shouting across apartment blocks, notes in windows, and other methods to communicate
- We told her 1000 people dead, she said no, way higher maybe 10 or 20 times that number

We didn't get to talk long but she gets out of quarantine on the 18th. We'll speak to her on the 19th after she's back home with her kids.

People in Hong Kong dont trust the China numbers and apparently they are aware that there is a limited number of test kits getting sent to Wuhan

Chinese media confirms that asymptomatic cases of coronavirus are now excluded from the government's official count. This contradicts WHO guidelines. It's unknown how many asymptomatic cases there are.

This means all those with confirmed or unconfirmed CoronaVirus are not in the official stats

So neither would those who die at home, reports suggest 60+% are dying at home

Again... only those the hospitals can handle are official

And most hospitals have been closed for weeks

From symptoms to death the illness is 27+ days

Pretty sure most major cruise lines have satelite TV on board, meaning the passengers are receiving international TV broadcasts.

Yeah they would have too IMHO. Most berths are closet sized as people sleep in them and thats about it. Cruise ships are all about the common spaces and the ridiculous food options. You take that away and you may not even be able to house a federal prisoner in the room some or that small I mean we are talking about 150 and 185 square feet (13 sq meters if you metric) and an inside cabin has no windows so if you cut of the net and TV people would go nuts

Her descriptions jive with and corroborate many reports from Alt-Web sites past couple weeks that many have been deriding or disregarding in favor of official mainstream propaganda designed to have folks disregard seriousness or situation.

Her kids in quarantine with her. She went to Wuhan for Spring Festival to visit her parents.

There are unsubstantiated reports that Lin Zhengbin, the Vice Chairman of the Organ Transplant Branch of Wuhan City has died of acute myocarditis due to contracting Corona virus.

He was previously one of several accused of illegal organ harvesting of persecuted Falun Gong members.
