But you're right, it's unlikely in the extreme that he will be removed at this point. Impeachment seems to be a dumb idea right now but it does give the House some extra investigative powers.

We'll see what happens. Right now, it's an inquiry.

They have no real evidence aside from the transcript of a phone call released.

The evidence they themselves released that corroborates the accusation. Genius.
