Well that explains why I did so well running, I am physically built more like a man - longer arms and legs, shorter torso, more sloping forehead, etc.

That doesn't mean I could compete against actual men though.

You could probably compete against about 80% of men and win.

At this point a skinny girl probably could take me down. Not that I mind.

LOL ... that might be a different sort of competition.

i am sure that will be the next stop for your inclusiveness train

So the NCAA, the IOC, national and international bodies that are responsible for adjudicating the fairness of participation in amateur and professional sport are all just wrong on the issue?

Because they have devised ways, based on science, to allow trans athletes to compete.

They have devised extremely imperfect ways to placate the few in the name of something which the very spirit and nature of competitive sports spits in the face of: equality. The spirit of sports is a level playing field, not equality. This is making the playing field less level, not squaring it off in any way.

What you call "placating the few" many people call equal rights.

I fully accept that you don't agree with what the IOC and NCAA (and others) have decided.

I'm a man. Gender male. But I can't run faster than women athletes.

Is that fair?

Granted, I'm old, fat, smoke, have artificial joints.

But I am still an XY male.

We need to eliminate gender-based differences. We've done it with medicine.

Do hospitals have different operating rooms for women versus men surgeons?

I've seen this argument growing in popularity recently.

I think we're going to have to establish that sex and gender aren't the same thing, but given that, I'm interested to see where this line of thinking goes.

EDIT: Deleted off topic question.

I seem to have missed where that obviously feminist biased website linked any sources. Can you please point those out so i can reassure myself those points are nonbiased?

How about instead you find links that refute it?

Equal.

Not separate but equal, but equal.

Can't run faster?

Sucks to be you!

In the workforce they don't have women engineers and men engineers separated because women aren't as good at engineering as men.

Why should athletics be any different?

Brainpower is different than physical power. Your amount of knowledge is not increased pr decreased by how much estrogen or testosterone your body can create. Your muscles, and therefore strength/endurance, are.

I wonder if we will ever see bionic women compete in the future?

And yes I'm partial to Sandra Bullock.

If the material is unsourced it's pretty easy to dismiss it as mere opinion.

What do you make of national and international sports governing organizations finding ways in which trans folks can compete? Are they all just wrong? I mean, the IOC has been studying the matter with input from medical and scientific professionals for nearly two decades ... are they all just wrong?

Folks that are opposed to any trans participation in competitive sports ... is it only male to female (MTF) folks that you have excpetion to?

Is it okay for FTM folk to compete with other men? Or since FTM folk are "orginally female" should they be forced to compete with girls?

You know, like Mack Beggs who WANTED to compete against boys but was forced to compete against girls in Texas?

Im not trying to be argumentative, i can see your point... i just dont agree, fully.
You’re bringing up things that, to me, seem unrelated.
Sure, i agree 100% there should be equality... to a degree. Athletics is not one because of the way the body works and creates hormones. A biological male will always have a physical advantage. Unless he goes full trans. Meaning
castration. As long as a person has testicles, they will always be capable of far more physical strength than someone who does not, with the same effort/health status.

Isn't your source an advocacy group trying to keep trans girls/women out of sport?

Not trying to damn the source, but ...

I have no idea. I cared more about the information than who was telling it.

If I really have to, I can spend time delving into reports to present. But the details covered aren't incorrect. There have even been studies to discern phsycial differences between HSS and neanderthals.

They are wrong if they fail to consider skeletal structure and how it impacts sports.

I have mixed feelings. If their biological nature doesnt give them an advantage, then sure. But when youre pretty much born with an advantage and have been using it, even without your knowledge or consent or even know it was happening(puberty more so), then its unfair. Maybe coed sports under age 10 is okay, if you want fair. Or a casrated boy.

Have you heard of Ad Hominem? Its the one way ticket to nullifying your own argument.

Why would you think that decades long studies conducted by the IOC didn't take that into consideration?

I should add: the article I link is chock full of sources. Many go to anatomy and physiology texts, or seemed to at first glance.

Like i said...the information Im reporting is accurate. I can find texts to support it if need be....but I think the sources in the aforementioned article do that. The problem is that years of knowledge aren't always bookmarked, and those bookmarks would cover multiple types of media.
