That's absolute BS!! They know EXACTLY who watches these shows!!!
Again, just look at the targeted advertising. They're not advertising Ford trucks during these shows! Nope, they're advertising maxi-pads and femine products.

Big deal. In lots of other countries (especially Latin American countries) the swimsuit competition will never be banned.

Those mags cater to a specific type of woman - the sexually free - you really are off the beaten track and are confusing sexual objectification with women being sexually free to do what they want, including showing their bodies on the front of a mag if they so choose. Cosmo mag is not a beauty pageant or competition, your argument has no bearing on the topic at hand, that being defining beauty through sexual objectification.
Those pageants, and the advertisers buying their time slots, cater to a specific type of women. No one is forcing these women into beauty pageants. They freely choose to show their bodies in swimsuits. You really are off the beaten track and are confusing sexual objectification with women being sexually free to do what they want. Your argument of sexual objectification has no bearing on the topic at hand.

Heck even guys have their version of a beauty pageant. It's called the body building competition and/or something similar across the country. No one is complaining about that and the only thing those men wear are speedos. Where is the verdict on that huh?
Or are women the only gender that feel the need to be "protected" from prying eyes? If anyone wants this so called sexual objectification to end, you should pack your bags and move to a middle eastern country. Over in places like Iran or Saudi Arabia, they stone women that don't cover up.
And where are the stats of which gender is viewing those body-building shows? Women body build too, what about those gender stats? If we pryed deeper we'd see audiences are not gender based but interest based.

You're just being obtuse now!
Television demographics today are laser specific. They know exactly who watches what, every minute, of every day. Right down to the person just about. They know what gender watches, when they tune in, when they tune out. They know exactly whether men AND women are watching and when it's just one or the other.
How do they do it? It's a science, and it's BIG money...and it's very specific.
Don't be foolish!

If there is a mandatory swimsuit segment, then yes, they have no choice.

You mean non-regressive societies. Unlike this PC, SJW infested nonsense in the U.S. and some other western countries.

Who cares about the stats? These people who participate are enjoying it and get to do what they wanted which is getting noticed and hopefully winning. The amount of viewership proves it is what drives the ratings which gives the host money. Why would they destroy something that clearly works? Virtue Signaling points for the METOO cause? Yeah that is a sure fire way to kill a show.
In reality no one wants to watch a beauty pageant about how smart or socially driven a woman is in fighting for social issues. If anyone wants that they can go to CSPAN or MTV for that.

So now you're claiming that women are forced to enter themselves into televised beauty pageants?
If not, then your response to me was a clear straw man logical fallacy.

Yeah because we should model Middle Eastern countries since they would know all about how to make women look good. You do realize that physical attraction is a part of human society right?
