Interesting new Vegas shooting detail emerges from Sheriff

It has been reported that somebody used his key card to enter the room at some point when he was not there. I have forgotten what day that was, however. Somebody speculated that it may have been a prostitute, but that sounds so contrived and convenient, doesn't it.

Something about his scribble of notes doesn't add up to me. If he had the collection of firearms they say he did then I am betting he knows a thing or two about how to use them. The distance to target, the size of the target and the rate of fire he applied on to the target would never in a million years require any sort of calculation (elevated firing point, with an entire concert as a target..you wouldn't even have to look down the sights to hit people). Seems a bit strange to me. Precise shots require a bit of working out. Sustained bursts of 100 or so rounds? Not so much.

OK at best. with an 'amateur' shooting down and to the left..let's give the shooter credit for Hallway practice, then a best shooting success might minimally require 5000-6000 shots?

Most of those shots would have wound up spread out all over Vegas!

But give the shooter more credit as he got better during the shooting (not likely with amateurfatigue just holding the weapon and absorbing the recoil)...say 3000 shots. 3000 SHOTS MAKE A LOT OF CASINGS!!!! Where are they?

My cousin and I went through a 300 round box of .22 bullets one day we had a mountain of shells. Even 500 rounds would have shells all over that carpet. And he was supposed to be near the window, how close to the window is this guy? How close is he to where he supposedly shot 200 rounds at the door?

Weren't the first three or four shots slow and precise before the volley began?

Maybe those numbers were coordinates sent to him by a spotter. I can't shake the feeling that someone specific was targeted Jack Reacher style.

Have there been any reports that someone may have been on the roof of the building, too?

You're talking at least 1000 rounds to explain the casualty rate on the ground. At very least. Then the 200 they say he fired at the guard.

You could literally sweep that brass with a broom.

I have wondered that. It is the perfect cover for a precise shot. Automatic fire. If someone had the time they could probably go through the footage and pick out single shots.

Spotters don't usually work like that they'll usually talk you on to a target rather than 'the target will be at such and such a location'. The scraps of paper to me either sound like a plant or are something different altogether.

That does sound contrived. Who would give their room key to a hooker? Especially when you have thousands of dollars worth of valuable weapons lying around?

His 'girlfriend' was also a high stakes casino hostess...she knows people...he was well known. Inside job. I mean, this is not some random weirdo showing up. I am sure that EVERYONE who had worked there longer than a year knew him. If you work in hospitality you know people even in a large setting like that. Some come and go but you would remember this guy in flip flops dropping 100k a night . Especially if he ordered call girls that cost 6k a night? People know this guy.

Question is...was anywhere 'robbed' that evening?

Last I heard about that was a few days ago, the Sheriff denied that report. Unless that's been changed too.

There were early shots from what I am now reading and if you listen to the videos. Large caliber rifle shots and he had those. I was wondering if he placed Tannerite near the fuel tanks or maybe an accomplice did and those are the first shots. He may have thought that would make it explode. Like the person who was supposedly in the crowd 45 minutes early. Did they do something under duress but then have cold feet and try to save some people?

He was a millionaire... I wonder who his beneficiary is. Perhaps it's time to look deeper into them.

Yes it does... I'd like to know how they know someone else entered his room and they, whoever they are, can't show us any footage from that night.

Exactly. You can't tell me that he gave his key card to someone and said "nevermind the 23 firearms you see in there."

there is a guy with a video that can't be copied there is another thread all about it..he videoed himself waking around the outside of Mandalay bay and shooting across the street where the concert was...he pointed out these 2 skinny towers and some building in the distance in the back that have windows that opened...he walked the route that cab driver took and were they parked at past Mandalay bay there is gunfire flash in the taxi side view mirror which was NOT facing Mandalay Bay...there are 3 rounds of shots and the sound is not equal he thinks the first round came from the the towers hitting the people really close to the stage...2nd round from the building way in the back and the 3rd round came from the broken windows in mandalay bay....even if you don't believe his theory..you get a really good look at the hotel and where the concert was...the two roof way below the broken windows and where the taxi stopped...

there were 20,000 people at that concert and he had rapid fire many weapons why would he need any calculations at all????? you wouldn;t do that unless there was something specific you were going after

More and more this story resembles the Pulse story--incoherent and strongly suggestive of a training exercise or play actors with crowds on demand.

I have a sick feeling that this is going to turn into a S.H. type investigation, complete with 50 different accounts from 50 different "reporters".

Facts will morph, then disappear, to be replaced by entirely different scenarios. Witnesses will fade away never to be seen nor heard from again.

In the end, we will be left with "a guy went nuts and guns, guns, guns....."

Then, you will no longer be allowed to talk about it, much less ask intelligent rational questions.

I also saw the 1 October name used in relation to whats going on in Catalan Spain...just thought I'd throw it out there.
