I went ahead and tried to just take out the two snips of the possible Sniper on top of the Pyramid. Make it easier then trying to find them in the whole video. Keep in mind, editing video is not my day job, but I tried my best with what I had to work with. Hopefully you give it a shot as well.

Yes I thought I heard another shot too, but since I couldn't "see" it I figured it would be one less thing for folks to get hung up on iffin you know what I mean.

Well, given that this was shot at night, which renders even modern phone cameras from fairly robust devices, down to the potatocam quality level, and at distance, which they rarely do well unless they are very high end indeed, its hard to say.

One thing I would ask, is this:

Aside from the skybeam which shines out from the top of the Luxor, does it also feature a strobe variant aircraft warning light?

Nope, if you listen you hear the far away gunfire first at times, I also thought echo's up till that started happeneing, listen to the first 4 mins and initially its near gunfire then far sounding echo's and then around 2 mins in you start to hear the far gun fire with longs bursts only..

There's definitely more than one automatic weapon but the real question is, is it part of the attack or an attack on the gunman?

Also, if iirc there's shot number differences between the near fire and the 'echo's at times which also indicates a second gunman..But who?

One would imagine there should be a warning light on the top. However, maybe if there is a taller building in the direct vicinity, like the obelisk for instance, it will be placed on that one, anything lower, as long as it is reasonably close, can automatically excluded. But this is just a wild guess on my part. Also, I think that it has to be a colored light, to distinguish it from regular light. Does that make sense?

When it comes to the video quality, I must agree, but what got my attention was the sound that accompanied the "muzzle flash", what appeared to me as firearms discharge.

I've been to LV (although it was eleven years ago) - and yes Luxor pyramid does have aircraft warning lights, red ones I believe, but that's easy enough to verify from a quick image search of LV by night pics...
here ... actually can't see any red warning lights on those pics? oh well, but also there's the light at the top, and the ridges of the pyramid are set up with lights, the second part of that patched video doesn't show sniper fire, it just shows the lights along the ridge of the pyramid, you can see them in sucession.

IMO - no sniper on Pyramid.

a reply to: tonycodes there is only the firing at the first couple of minutes of the video, the only thing of note is at around 7.59 where the videostream is damaged or tampered with(sound distortion and the srceen focus changes). what is needed is a first generation of the mpg which wont have the video and sound tracks thrashed by youtubes and others optimizing recoding.

No it does not thee is lights that run up the sides but you cant see that. With the height of the building and distance from the strip your talking half a klick at least. (Probably 1 km) Now what i will say is with a huge spotlight you wouldnt see a flash from a gun at that distance. Also there is no delay you hear the sound and see a flash. What i think it is a car backfiring causing the sensors in the phone to shake notice it looses focus and becomes blurry when the noise goes off. And just turns to a huge round light. Unless that rifle was a howitzer that wouldnt happen.

It happens twice, audible & visible. and I have also studied the waveforms, they match perfectly. I rule out backfire. The distance between the taxi and the pyramid seems greater then it actually is. Factor in (possible) airflow towards the taxi and the fact that there is, albeit a very smal one, a definitie delay between the muzzle flash and the audible discharge, and it is very possible.

Rewatching it looks like it was something he did in the cab. Might even be the brakes popped i had a chevy truck that did that occasionally it from the cab thats causing it.

There was no muzzlefalsh on floor 4 it has already been debunked repeatedly in other threads. That was a strobe light that had been going on for several days.

Again, if he was a black market arms dealer, and deal went tits up, why shoot up the concert? And who shot it up? What was the point of that exercise?

There is no suicide note the Sheriff has stated that quite categorically and said he wasn't willing at this stage to say what was on the paper

There were no muzzleflashes from the 32nd floor as according to many gun experts on here, the gunman/men would be stationed further back in the room not up close to the window....apparently that is normal

Regarding the Hispanic woman and man who were allegedly warning people "you're all going to die, they're all around us", only 1 witness out of the thousands that were there has come forward about this, a girl named Brianna who has been interviewed to death but still not one other person has confirmed this happening

The smoke from the guns set off the fire alarm which alerted security, hence the security guy getting shot in the leg as he went to investigate

It would appear that no scenario that explains the amount of guns Paddock brought to the hotel explains the motive for shooting up the concert.

There is an eye witness account with pictures on this site. The people who were there and involved have stated quite categorically that there was more shooting AFTER Paddock was allegedly killed, in various hotels & casinos throughout the night until well after he was dead.

There are many videos and testimonies around on facebook youtube etc showing the panic at other hotels such as the Caesar.

My thoughts on this are that Paddock had accomplices creating a distraction in order that he could get away. The Sherrif has intimated that Paddock intended to escape. Ensuring the Police were very well occupied elsewhere could have been the plan. There appears to be no other reason I can think of for the sheer number of calls to the police all of which had to be investigated dragging manpower away from the Mandalay.

The reason for him doing this act? I don't know and neither does anyone else at this moment in time. I've swung from there's no way he did it to yup I think he certainly did, in the days since the event its just the motive and logistics behind it all that are bugging the hell out of me
