I agree, they just deleted the headline of the article from "THERE WERE TWO OF THEM" in all caps. I think likely only 1 person. Hopefully more useful information to follow from them. Terrible situation all around.

The terrible thing is that a man with a knife and a car can do so much damage.

Mark Rowley, assistant commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, said the police were "satisfied at this stage it looks like there was only one attacker".

The man believed to be the attacker is dead, he said.

Four people have died and at least 20 people were injured in the attack.

I am not satisfied. How can a man with a knife kill a police officer? I understand a gun, but they need to get close to attack with a knife.

That is a good question - I hope there was no hesitation.

Because most London police do not carry guns.

Yet the attacker was shot when going for a second police officer.

Police don't get attacked very often in this country so they aren't going to shoot you for going up to them.

People quite regularly ask them for help with things like directions if they see them in the street.

Attacker, confirmed as London born terrorist hate preacher Abu Izzadeen (Trevor Brooks) from Clapton in Hackney is DEAD.

News circulating on twitter the attacker was a Islamic hate preacher, born in London.

For all the talk of refugees/migrants, 2nd generation nationals are quickly becoming a real threat, folks born in Europe but indoctrinated in your local mosque.

They do in Whitehall. Armed police are increasingly common up and down the country, During the Christmas season my town's (Doncaster) shopping centre and town square was patrolled by police officers with assault rifles. The overall terrorist threat has gone up nationwide.

Well, this is why iam not satisfied. I thing the English police should be more prepared.

At the end it will look like that police officers are much more easy target to terrorists than the people.

Almost took a trip into central London today but decided to stay put... don't think I would have gone to Westminister area but there would surely have been delays on the transport!

I guess there was one imminent and this is one... maybe more to come but lets hope not.

Unfortunately we let the enemy in and we've allowed people to spread their hate for us without doing anything about it.

10 pages in, no comment from me, purely speculation and MSM repeat of their thoughts is what i'm seeing

ETA: UK police normally wear stab vests ..... the officer must have been stabbed in an unprotected area

It's an increasing problem. Schools and Mosques funded by Saudi Arabia preach Wahhabism, An ultra extreme and conservative branch of Islam. They're in the minority now, but they might not in the future the way the wind is blowing.

Also there's a growing problem of Muslim enclaves in the UK and Europe as a whole. Muslims isolating themselves from the rest of society and, surprise surprise, the only schools and mosques active in these areas are the Wahhabi ones with connections to Saudi Arabia...

Still a lot less than a man with a knife and a car and a GUN, I hope I am not overstating the obvious but I still appreciate the UKs more strict gun laws.

Eye witnesses said he was charging with a knife, not walking up to him. Might be an incorrect eye witness of course...
