The racism has just grown those past 10-20 years. Now people from Islamic countries are no more Asians even if they live in Asia.

Is the hate that great that we have to single their country from the whole continent?

I feel so sorry for all those people trapped on the London Eye. Three hours. I wonder how much longer it will be before they start freaking out? I think Londoners are generally calmer than Americans, but DAMN!

They need to get those people down from there!

The perp looks like a Muslim terrorist. Like, a trope'd to the max millenial type of muslim terrorist crusader, not your old man turban terrorist, the younger generation of preened beard terrorist brand.

There's really no harm in saying it like it is.

I don't think there's a single majority Islamic country. They're dotted all over the map from Morocco to Malaysia...

Im surprised something hadn't happened sooner.

Getting trapped on the London Eye for hours is part of the typical London experience.

Sometimes it breaks down for no reason.

Words have meanings. Don't lash out at other people for your lack of understanding of a basic, fundamental reality.

I think its because the UK had more to do with the Indian sub continent of Asia and the US with SE Asia.

Ouch. I hope it didn't involve any of your friends and loved ones. So sorry this happened, but I'm glad you're okay and not on the Bridge today. That must be an eerie feeling for it to happen on your 'stomping grounds'.

It has nothing to do with racism.

Most of the world separates Asia from the Middle East by distinction/definition. UK seems to be the only part of the world which does not.

It would be akin to not making a distinction between people from Canada and people from Mexico and simply calling them North Americans. It's too broad. You can do that but most others understand the clear difference.

The guy i see is middle eastern with a Islamic style beard and clipper shaved head.

I agree. Arabic. Although it could be N.African. Maybe we'll know soon. Whoever he was, he was a big fat coward, no matter what he told himself about his motive.
