I am focused on this fake 1100 number and carrier. That is the topic of the thread.

I think it's funny and telling of the people talking bad about Trump that they are complaining that he saved jobs. Not even POTUS yet and saved jobs...but just like any good lefty...have to find the bad in it....even though the story doesn't say what the OP thinks it does and references another company that Jones, who obviously socks at his job and should be replaced, says Trump SHOULD help.

And as of this story, he did say Trump saved 800 jobs. He also said the other 300 were not in jeopardy...got any paperwork to back up that statement?

I'd take Trump's word over an obviously inept uniontard who is trying to save face because Trump had to come in and do his job for him.

He hasn't saved jobs; he's given a company $7 million in tax breaks for doing what they were going to do anyway. All the factory jobs will be gone in five years and then it will be President Chelsea's problem.

Then what's the issue with getting rid of them now if you're so against even trying? Methinks a lot here could use a bit more of a positive outlook.

No, he did not save 800 jobs. You miss the part where 550 of that total was laid off immediately after the announcement and 350 were never leaving the the US. This does not include Rexford, a second issue the man brought up.

I was not finding the 'bad' in it. I see the numbers discrepancy.

So, Trump is now backing away from the 1100 number? He needs to also admit 550 of the 800 were laid off right away and the 350 R&D jobs were never slated for Mexico.

I don't recall Obama making any statements after bailing out industries that failed again and again and went bankrupt and moved jobs costing us billions....and that actually happened, unlike the story you claim which you linked to that is in direct conflict with what you are posting...

By the way...where has our actual current POTUS been on this...I mean he IS still POTUS and continues to do nothing...

Can someone explain something that doesn't make sense to me? The engineering department in a plant is there to to keep the plant running. They handle equipment maintenance and in the case of Nissan do quality control. then there is the administration that handles plant payroll orders parts etc. So my question is what company ships the assembly lines to mexico getting rid of production staff. But then keeps the plant open for the engineers and admin? if production is shut down what do they need the engineers for ? If there is no work force to manage why do they need admin? The only plausible explanation I can think of is they were union workers. And as such the company didn't want to pay the fines involved under the contract. So they were willing to pay people to do nothing until of course next fiscal quarter when they can take the hit on the books. It is the only thing that makes sense. So in other words these jobs were as good as gone the company was just waiting to take the hit. Of course there going to tell the Union that there not going anywhere because the union would of course demand money now. So the only thing that makes sense is the company lied to the union no big surprise there. Or Carrier is the worst run company on the planet to want to keep admin and engineers in a plant that is no longer operating. Kind of like paying teachers to teach in a school with no students.
