teh testing they did said Only the non military stuff that was not shielded would be shut down. Also alot of cars would actually survive it too from testing. Its not the end all be all of western civilization as so many try to scare people into believing.

Both are stupid. We all know Japan has a stranglehold on US economically, yet soon Japan will be a dead country soon. The Japs are a bunch of idiots, they don't know how to run a country causing so much suicide. China is turning its country around from suicide. Mexico, pfff. Mexico is probably going to be the next China. At this rate US is going to war with everyone because the only thing that can support itself is Military Industrial Complex. It has been planned for US to interfere in everything since WW1 began. Media will win and always wins because US is in its 1984 position, getting ready to strike when all countries strike the Red. Umm I think you underestimate their economy a little, most of the world relies on their manufacturing, and lesser standards for health, safety, and the enviroment. IF they shut off their chemical manufacturing for example, world wide pharmaceutical manufacture would grind to a halt. I say this as someone who works in Pharma. Even if I don't buy FROM China, they were involved further back in the manufacture, bet your life on that!

They would still hurt themselves, if we withdraw trade there is a very good chance many other trade union nations would follow suite.

imo, the PetroDollar is over rated, since domestic production is so high, consumption is down. Extraction offshore somewhat unrelated to national boundaries, more diverse areas of exploration.... it seems like to PD is going away gradually anyway.
