China has refused to recognize the ruling by an arbitration court in The Hague that invalidated its vast territorial claims in the South China Sea, and did not take part in the proceedings brought by the Philippines.

The Hague is a court inside the Netherlands, a NATO member country, what ruling do we suppose will come from that? Let alone the Hague won't convene war crimes trials against western leaders that violated all the countries sovereignty in the Middle East and elsewhere.

Russia, China and USA will never get into a fight.. it will not be good for anyone everyone loose

I really wish we would stop interfering in other nations' business.

Theres no way we would be ok with foreign navies parked off our coasts.

I know what some of you are gonna say, "its international waters".

Ok, then let the affected countries take it to the International Court of Justice.

Our presence is not perceived as calming and diplomatic.

Its perceived as bullying and antagonistic.

They won't do anything but posture and hope they are taken seriously. If they went to war with the USA first consequence of an action that dumb would the collapse of the entire Chinese economy (who else besides the US buys all that crap?) Besides as was stated before nobody is interested in mutually assured destruction.

China and the US wont go to war...ever. Makes no business sense. why would we attack our bank? why would our bank attack its best client?

This is just military hyperbole. What China wants is anyones guess but they tend to play a long game, so what they want may not be obvious just yet...this might be a long term effort to get Taiwan (good luck there).

The only wars going on between the nation will be economic fiddling. China knows how commerce works to the west and knows how to hit below the belt whenever it wants.

Both would take fairly equal hits on paper. Their respective trade values are very equal amounts of their respective economies.

China should recover faster, however. It has always been far easier to find new buyers than it has been to setup new suppliers. Just the nature of the beast.

It's called THE HAGUE ..one poster said its a puppet idea or some trash about it.
AND if you read the story YOU would know they have and CHINA lost the decision.
The onus is on China for stepping up their game as a result of thinking the west(OBAMA) will back down in a game of chicken because the smaller nations are easy pickings for the Communists.

China could build a bridge of dead bodies to our soil and march their soldiers over on it. Hopefully nobody is dumb enough to push the buttons.

If THEY fire first ,we are debt free with them.
SLIDE in some fancy tech and screw the old economy.
It will take about 3 months by the way, until they capitulate ,THEN we lose our victory from politics
