I know you are going to simply disagree because it suits your agenda. But the bottom line is that there are rooms to segregate males and females for the acts of showering, defecating, etc. It is based upon the actual sex of the person, not what that person feels like...wishes they were, etc. That has always been the rule and there is no need for a change.

I don't even really understand how this NC situation came about, but now that it has...we are forced to make a decision. The only logical decision is that 99.7% of the population has been fine with the men's / women's room deal forever. Now that .3% want it to be different...too bad. The 99.7 shouldn't lose their right to privacy from the opposite sex just because the .3 have an issue.

That isn't fair.

Lets see if I can take a bit of the high road here. I'm not anti-transgender or anti-gay. I understand that we are all people who simply want to live our lives and I wouldn't bother, annoy or go out of my way to make fun of or insult a gay or transgender person. Believe that or not.

Here is the problem. The "normal" (sorry...I don't know a more accurate word to use) people are being put in a situation where our privacy is being invaded, our rights are being taken away to accommodate an extreme minority of the population. That isn't fair by any logical view. If what was being discussed was a third bathroom...there wouldn't be so much emotion tied up in all of this. But that isn't what Obama has begun. He decided instead to attack an institution, try to force the majority to conform and for us to have to put up with a situation we wouldn't normally have to.

If the transgender community would join us and throw this back in his face and say..."NO"! We don't want to make the others uncomfortable or take something they have...we want the same as they have. A place of our own where we don't have to feel uncomfortable either.

But you are NOT saying that. You are agreeing that taking from us, forcing us to be uncomfortable is just fine with you. And therefore...you are part of the problem.

It is really that simple.

I think we agree.

Someones rights are thrown out the window when a guy with a penis(no matter what he identifies as) is allowed to change in a locker room full of teen girls.

Can either side with the girls or the guy who thinks he's a girl but it surely isn't an equal playing ground.

I'm going to add to that. I'm a smoker. When I go outside to smoke...which I always do even where I don't have to...I step far away from the door. I stand away from anyone else usually far enough away that no non-smoker would be in that area. I smoke, put out my cigarette and then thrown the butt in a trash receptical.

I short...I know I am the minority and I go out of my way not to bother the majority with my habit. I try not to be obnoxious, try not to cause a problem for others OUT OF RESPECT.

Maybe take a bit of my example and do the same. Don't bother the others...understand you are unique and the minority and do your business elsewhere. Just as I do.

We do...I was just in the heat of "chatting" and thought you quoted my post. Peace...and if you read my last two posts...I think I spelled out the moderates view of this whole situation. I'll leave my personal, scientific beliefs aside...but since we are where we are...we will have to solve this one way or the other.

No one made a stink about this before Obongo tried to make it mandatory by forcing people to accept 0.1/3 % of the population along with insulting parents everywhere by trying to confuse their kids into believing it is ok to allow boys to go into girls bathrooms/shower rooms,

Do we have to keep giving Constitution lessons?

Do we have to keep reminding you Mental Illness Issues aren't jokes, and shoving it into peoples faces trying to force them to think they're not a Mental Illness issue is .. rather Mental.

be careful Annie, people who enjoy peeing on trees may go PC on you and take offense at your dislike of them preferring trees to toilets.

You know me better than that...and I've already said it. If the transgender would join us in saying...NO...we want our own restroom...this wouldn't be an issue. It would not attack the established norm and would solve the problem at the same time.

The only problem is some in the transgender community would rather confront the norm than solve the problem.

No problem, mate.

I appreciate genuine dialogue. Much better than the one going around shouting down everyone as ignorant and bigoted but fails to answer or acknowledge the simplest of questions.

We'll never get anywhere when some close themselves off to all other viewpoints.

Awareness...if you don't mind, I'd seriously like to hear your opinion of the "mental illness" proposition. As you can see, I'm mostly on your side. But you have me curious.

What they're doing actually has a name..

It's called Perversion.

They don't like that because they're special and special people deserve a special name, contrary to what actual Doctors have to say about it who actually know about this stuff on a scientific level.

2 or 3 pages back i left a link someone left on here 10 pages back.

It's a good link you should take a look at it. It's from a Dr. who has actual experience on this subject.

We've already been down the "Separate but Equal" road.

I think I know the jist of the theory. But if you haven't already heard it, I'd like to suggest another theory that is on the same lines. While the result is the same, instead of it being an illness like a perversion, it is based upon looking for an external reason for the "differences".

In short, there are scientists that believe that between hormones in beef and other foods, birth control that is urinated out and into waterways and a combination of chemicals in pollution, products, etc....that such gender beliefs may be a result of these external drugs and not just an imbalance.

Short, true story. There was a town (I forget where) that couldn't figure out why the fish in the local lake were dying off. It is a long involved story but the end result was that more and more women in the town were taking birth control, urinating, flushing into the groundwater that found it's way to the lake. The fish were found with birth control medications in them thus causing the fish to die off.

No...no...no. Men's and Women's rooms are already separate. That is the entire idea. The equality is equal separation in this example. If we were talking about voting, there wouldn't be a separation. From chatting with you before, I don't believe you truly want to take something from others when there is a solution that solves both problems.

Am I wrong? Or is this an "I'll show you" moment?

PS: But if you are implying that the transgendered need to be accepted as the sex they identify with...that isn't going to happen. And personally...I think that trying to force others to believe differently is a losing battle.
