Defense? Okay, I may have to rethink this! I do have that big open border north of me that will need a big wall too.

If there are not enough jobs in existence for US citizens let alone immigrants or refugees, would it then not be better to support someone like Sanders who wishes to fix the problem at its core? Even if, theoretically, all outside entry to the US not for tourism purposes was somehow barred, you would still be screwed as far as the job market is concerned.

Sanders...I will give you my take on this guy. First, I knew nothing of him until he announcement to run.

I followed, slightly, his comments as I am as anti-socialist-on a national level-as any. My conclusion is he is no different from the rest of the career politicians out there.

He well plays some of the issues without viable solutions. From the fed to freebies such as university tuitions and health care. The usual clap-trap, IMO.

When I see ANY politician proposing withdrawing from the WTO, institute tariffs on manufactured goods from underpaid nations such as China, or exposing the member Corporations of the TPP-which he hasn't done, or offer an actual solution to the Fed rather than the mere transfer of those powers to who we know not....they would have my support.

Sorry, he's picked his demographic well and panders no differently than the rest. Currently, he's bombarding facebook with his campaign more than the rest combined. The push for Sanders is on.

As I posted earlier, I will not vote for any Republican Candidate in this election other than Trump.

Having said that, If someone held a gun to my head and said I had to vote, I'd vote for any republican candidate before Sanders.

We shall have to agree to disagree.

You would be shocked at how many Canadians try to immigrate to the U.S.. Living right on the Canadian border, less than 100 yards actually-messes with the cell phones signals like you wouldn't believe-there are literally daily attempts to sneak across the border into the U.S..

Check out the U.S. Consulate in Vancouver, jammed full. Every day. Not so north bound. No disrespect to Canada, it is the truth, however.

I was being sarcastic, but seriously, as huge as America is, there is no way to completely close off our borders. Changes need to be made within the Immigration system and laws we have currently. For if there is a will, they will find a way.

I call BS.

Sorry but why are Candians "sneaking" ?

If they wanted to get across they just need a ESTA to get through then just stay overstay. No "sneaking" involved.

Hell most 1st world countrys can do that just get a ESTA, hope on a plane/boat then stay.

Anyway even if a few candians are staying I doubt they are draining your Welfare as I highly doubt they are going to trade candian welafre for US Welfare

Now I can see non Candadians hoping on a plane to candada and useing that as a jump off point to the USA.

Hey one, sorry I haven't much to add, just wanted to throw you a star and flag. Hope training is going well if your still at It. That's such a special powerful tribe. Some great people too.

I'm not very political at all, admittedly because I can't quite grasp the conduct but also a huge
Reason is I just don't are too. It's never made much sense to me.

That being said my best buddy and I are pro trump. My reasoning is simple, we need a businessman, someone ruthless (not at all in the way all the previous have been) but with money. In a smart manner.

I love him going against the grain with this over sensitive PC pansy BS. Also needed, badly.

Bernie has always been my close second and my
Moms number one. He just seems a bit genuine which I am pretty sure is alien in that realm.

I'm pro wall, sucks I have to be. I'd prefer a harmonious earth where such things weren't necessary, but unfortunately I'm am apparent "islamaphobe" though I'm not but I refuse to walk on eggshells so as not to offend and and Islamic monster has been created, it's completely undeniable. I love all people in my small circle and would welcome anyone new as long as their truly compassionate, regardless of what who or how they are or what they believe.

Apparently I am Most likely and islamaphobe and a terrorist. That sucks because again I'm
Neither just not really stoked on lies, greed an tyranny.......understatement, it's infuriating, another understatement, I
Don't think there are words in existence to suffice the low the elites dwell in.

I don't know, I hold hope, I have to I have kids, and in
Mind this life is bit a chapter to a long awesome book.

I used to catch myself fearing for my children's future and almost regretting bringing them hear, but after reading member techxnicalitys response to on other member expressing those concerns I felt so much better and no longer harbor those fears, he had great advice, I hope he sees this, if not ill thank him next time on see him around hear. The guy should know it was very kind honorable and inspirational, probably made a positive difference in perspective for a lot of us.

Anyway hope I was plenty on topic, I enjoy your material.

Trump baby! And let's build that damn wall, it can come down when humans wanna be human. Shouldn't be so freakishly tough.

I agree with you. I'm not exactly pro wall either but I realize that if we have a lot of problems to fix and we can't fix them by allowing tens of millions of people to flood our country.

And I never stop training, 14 years strong!

I agree with your principles, but disagree that building a wall is an effective course of action.

I think something you should ask yourself about Trump, is whether he is being serious about the issues without PC lollygagging (such as "Look, illegal immigration is a real problem that affects our citizens and significantly affects their ability to obtain a job. In an attempt to fix this problem, I propose we of construct a wall that will significantly impair those wishing to cross our borders unannounced. I know this may get me labelled as a racist, but I believe this is one of the few options we have left.")
or if he is just being a prick. He might not be "PC", but is what he is saying worth consideration on its own merit?
From what I have observed, no, it is not. Throwing out slurs and insults and lies doesn't make you someone "fighting against the PC threat," it just makes you an uncivil, untrustworthy asshole.

That being said my best buddy and I are pro trump. My reasoning is simple, we need a businessman, someone ruthless (not at all in the way all the previous have been) but with money. In a smart manner.

Actually, you need an economist. Someone that understands that Reaganomics is a scam. A "Businessman" is not the correct answer, because a large amount of business success comes not from good management (though that plays a part), but through abusing government loopholes and buying politicians to pass favorable legislation. Trump has no incentive to close those loopholes. He has every incentive to widen them.
There have also been a lot of accusations that Trump himself sucks as a businessman and was only successful due to the fortune he borrowed (and inherited) from his father.

Not even close. I don't see any immigration from the U.S. to Canada...perhaps Mexicans, etc. that take advantage of Canada following UN decrees on political asylum. all one has to do in Canada is claim it on entry. then the Canadian Gov't pays all living expenses-usually families- until their claim is evaluated...generally a two year process.

The movement is all south. Truth be told, on a financial basis-I have family in both countries- it's a toss-up. Politically? That's preference. I have a nephew, a doctor, who's been married to a U.S. doctor for around ten years and he still couldn't get a green card. (At the request of the Canadian gov't due to the brain drain to the U.S. for higher financial returns.)

Even the hockey heroes, Gretz, Howe, Hull's kids, on and on now living in the U.S. with most kids now U.S. citizens.

Generally, the flow in southward. Not all, but most.

As long as Political Correctness (read as Rules Of Engagement in a case such as this) is not allowed into the equation ... I don't care. The guy behind the trigger knows the difference between right and wrong (just like the border jumpers). I say let them make the call and live with what they do or don't do. There are all sorts of ways to make sure it's done right.

It was the Communist East German authorities that built the wall that totally encircled West Berlin.
Too many immigrants from the west robbing communist benefits.

Of course there were gates and tunnels and air lifts..

Eventually a balance point was reached where the wall became unnecessary (After communism went bankrupt).

Trumps statement leaves plenty to read between the lines, but nothing you can really build on except our own preconceptions.

Call it what you want. We see weekly interceptions posted in the local news rag in Blaine, Wash. I have personally witnessed it. Again on a daily basis.

Please remember, one needs proper identification to enter either country. Tax issues, criminal records, security clearances all mitigate movement. Many don't want to wait for the process to emigrate either.

Many do just overstay the six month period.

Admittedly, many are new Canadians or immigrants to Canada that don't have Canadian citizenship and the resultant most favored nation/ 6 month visitation.

100% truth on this, Crazywok.

The supposed "wall" is a wasteful idea IMO.

You could set up 'towers'....with 2 guards/lookouts....ATV vehicles....night vision...walkies...etc....every half mile or mile.

Use the latest motion detectors and plot a grid. Each team of tower guards is dialed in to his/her particular sector.

Call in air support, transport, etc...when they get visual confirm.

700 Miles of towers spaced out. Each at a cost with the right contractor, maybe 15,000 to 20,000 per unit. 700 Border patrol units which are already being paid.

Much cheaper than some monstrous wall for miles and maybe just as effective.

The US Mexico border spans 1,989 miles you want a tower every half mile that would be 3,978 towers at a cost of 20K each would be close to 80 million with at least 5 guards a tower to cover 12 hour shifts they each need a day off which is close to 20 thousand guards add in the equipment and your air support as well as the man power for that equipment and costs would become astronomical.

If it would be cheaper like you claim explain how.

As I said I can believe non Canadian Citizens trying to do border runs. Probably the easiest border to cross.

Get a plane from Indonesia/ Malaysia/ Vietnam (insert poor country) to Canada then hop from there to the USA.

But Canadian Citizens no unless they have a criminal record and cant get a ESTA.

And where are they coming up with 20K?
The Feds can't put up a porta-potty that costs less than 20K. Also add in all the infrastructure that would be necessary for construction such as roads. And roads to get the guards in and out of work. And toilets and running water while they're working. Much of this in the desert. And, of course, it's never fully taken into account but there would be the massive environmental costs of such a silly project.

HAHA...Maybe that's their plan to create jobs.

Instead of fixing the infrastructure we will build a huge array of tower and employ thousands upon thousands of government workers and contractors.

When they are done remodeling the country no one will want to live here not even us.
