No...Cranes falling and stampede in Hajj is not something which happens every year. Usually these things are well organized by the Saudi's

Yes, people die every year from being trample during the hajj. Why is that so hard to believe?

How many people die every year ? do you have any proof , event dates, death toll numbers ?

What a terrifying and frightening way to go, imagine the pressure, squeezing out every last bit of breath and fighting to breath. Such a scary way to have your life end, I can't imagine those emotions a family would be feeling with this going over in their heads. My heart really goes out to those affected.

In the last 20 years around 3000 people have died at the hajj the worst was probably in the early 90's when around 1400 people died in a stampede but a simple search would give you more accurate info than I can.

Nobody deserves this.

Way too indiscriminate.

Their families can take solace in the fact they permorned Hajj before they passed away.

RIP.

Savages.

But...important thing is...family of the dead will take comfort they

permorned Hajj

Indeed. Not only comforting...but also...I guess some scores of virgins will be there to dispense comfort.

But I agree...nobody deserves this.

I wonder what was the reason for the stampede ? everybody wanted to "permorn" before the other guy.

I would think with the sheer number of people coming in that are not from the area, the death toll is fairly low. 2+ Million people making the same pilgrimage and a few hundred dying is sad, but because it happens fairly often at this event, the "organizers" must have an "acceptable" count of deaths they expect each year.

You can't put that many people into the same area and not expect it really. Especially when it involved religiously charged excitement. Sad it happens, but I don't think it is even avoidable in any way other than stopping the entire pilgrimage, which is likely not even possible.

I dont know man...for such an event...people coming to pray to God or whatever...even 1 is too much don't you think ?

And why is this happening in the first place ? I don't think you can organize anything for 2+ million people...and think you have any kind of security.

Yet another informational thread that begged not for the "hate-ers"..... Is there no humanity left in us humans?

Shameful. ..... .

maybe you just see it as hate. I don't think it's hateful to point to humans being ridiculous and savage. Whatever that group of humans may be.

TO me...the bull stampede in Pamplona is also savagery and stupid...only difference being...cretins that do it go there perfectly aware they might get trampled to death.
