In many ways, it's much better. No expectations. Just friendship and affection.

My ex never could get the idea of physical affection without a sexual outcome - over time it became very offensive.

It doesn't even need a sexual outcome! if it does have one, great, but if it doesn't then that's great too. Cuddles in the kitchen, just because? those are the moments I miss, and you can't replicate that with other people.

Those little moments are special.

I am fine cuddling and hugging and all of that and I can stay doing just that all day.. BUT.
heavy making out (at least more than a minute or two).. I don't like coming back from, that, BUT my exes have told me this was an issue and I corrected it on my end.. It turns out I didn't know it was offensive to them, and they didn't know it was confusing when you make me stop.

little communication, now I know whats up.. Now I mmm enjoy the after glow of that kiss. Assuming the availability of such.
