the roman empire usurped christianity and proceeded to kill christians who didn't agree. to this day, non roman christians, are blamed for what the romans did, even to other christians. you even believe it, even though history is crammed full of evidence of what i'm saying

Perhaps if your statement read "Christ lived so that we might live", others might not associate Christians with a death cult that worships and fears death.

In reality, it's my belief that Christians fear life, which is why they refuse to celebrate it, and place all their attention on death, doom and coming destruction.

personally, i hope revelation means just that, revelation, and not mass cullings of human beings. but considering the huge efforts being made to single out christians in particular, which remarkably mirror what happened to the jews in germany and the kulaks in ukraine, i'm not betting the farm on it.

That is an opinion or baseless conjecture. If we are to discuss theological matters then the claims have to be based on the theology which comes from a source, the Bible. Everything else in this thread is conjecture and there can not be much debate if the deniers just pick and choose the parts of the bible that they agree with while ignoring the fact that their information also comes from the bible.

I will credit the OP however misguided that at least he is making claims and using scripture as evidence. Some like Akragon make cryptic statements about the bible with no real evidence. Then they try to present some new "hidden" theology from the same source they deny the validity of. Am I the only person who sees this? If you are making speculative claims present them as so instead of fact. This is addressed to a number of posters and not just the person I am replying to.

Christians do not fear death because Christ has already paid the price for that. Where is evidence that Christians fear death? A rejection of the world? Christ was offered the world and turned it down. He states where his kingdom is. We can not pass to that kingdom until death yet they are not out killing themselves en mass in some vain attempt to hurry things along. The world will be Christ according to his own plan and not a moment sooner. The deniers are the ones who fear death so they create ideas to reduce the penalty of death and non-belief to justify their ways and existence. Christ life is celebrated to say so is intellectually dishonest. We are to be humble and love others not life, death, or the world. More baseless conjecture and projections.

Good thread, I wholeheartedly agree! It's why the world is the way it is. People in power and religious cults are controlling the masses and using the population as pawns for their own selfish and greedy deeds. The world does need to wake up and stop fighting wars and killing people for false religious ideologies and government politicians.
