Your response is an example of eisegesis. Nowhere does Paul or Jesus say any of that, you aren't reading it for what it says, you are reading it for what you WANT it to say.

And yes, I know what blasphemy is. It's worshiping a man as God.

Yet Jesus says he is not. This isn't rocket science.

So you think that God stops being God to someone, if they give up the Mortal Coil?

I didn't say noah didn't exist... I said the flood was a myth...

there isn't a shred of evidence that there was EVER a world wide flood...

IF the flood was local its possible... and "noah" did not gather two of every critter on the planet...

the whole thing falls apart when one looks into the details...

Its just a story... it might have some truth to it... but IF there is any, it certainly didn't happen how it is recorded...

So how do you know Noah existed? From the book is why. Why would Christ liken his 2nd coming to a time when Noah existed? What would be the significance of that statement if Noah merely existed with no importance? Like wise if all we have to do is seek and we will find why did he bother saying anything to anyone? or coming at all? Logic?

the second death or your eternal sentence in hell is what is being considered here, the God of the dead Paul refers to could only be satan you see in hell your physical body is dead and you stay separated from it...
However your eternal soul will suffer in hell when saved the Lord will raise you in the flesh which will last forever...

Well... again, you should read the story and what Jesus said about it...

In that time they were eating and drinking... partying like everything was all good, and the flood came and destroyed them all... Jesus said he would be coming like a thief in the night... Basically saying it would be unexpected...

so...what is the issue?

that doesn't mean it was a world wide flood... it means a flood took out the people in the area Noah was living...

See when you get yourself wrapped up in what preachers tell you... everything is simple, until you encounter someone who actually knows the book... then things get complicated....and the average Christian gets frustrated because they don't have the answers they should.... then the insults come.... which is where I make my exit...

And where did you get the notion that one is speaking allegorically and the other not? In your own head? Again, you're not reading it for what it says, you're reading it for what you want it to say.

This thread is a perfect example of how the bible divides us. So many interpretations between so many people.

Surely God could have done better than this?

First off I don't listen to preachers. Second you continue to contradict yourself with IF statements as IF you are unsure yourself. Apparently you are the only person who "gets" the hidden meaning. Who cares if the flood was global or localized now you are just trying to muddy the waters. I know the book and that is why I do not just pick the parts out that I want to agree with.

2 Peter 1:20 - "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation."

Akragon the thread killer is here so this thread wont go anywhere. You can see his avatar in any thread that mentions the bible and its at that point it descends into chaos because we have to go over basics because every statement has to pass his personal understandings that contradict the book he gets his information from....

Funny the name you chose for yourself, is how you see yourself indeed...
.but I know this is impossible and most delusional of you to believe of yourself...
for you are too dim witted for it to be true and seek to harm the path to enlightenment...
In and of yourself you are a walking talking contradiction and most likely suffer from psychosis...

No I am getting it from context.

Matthew 22:29:32
29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

31 But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,

32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

33 And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine.

Note how he is talking about the future resurrection?
Note he mentions 3 people who are dead?

Where did I contradict anything... read what I type, don't read into what I type...

I didn't say noah didn't exist... and im not the only person who knows this "hidden meaning"...

Gods law is written on the hearts of man... everyone knows it... few people bother to follow it

And quoting scripture doesn't mean anything.... DO you believe only the church can understand the message Jesus taught?

Because most of them side with Paul, and that is not what Jesus taught

Ahh here we go.... the usual personal attacks now when you're backed into a corner....

Christians are so easy to read.... sigh

typical

And there it is, personal insults. How Christian of you.

Thanks for showing your true nature though, so insecure about your own beliefs that you have to resort to insults and mud slinging. Thank you friend, you have shown to me that you are not worth talking to.

Don't bother replying.

I'm surprised it took this long, usually they start throwing the insults around in the first few pages.

I hope as a Christian you can see and admit you are wrong and accept that Christ died for you in order to save you from DEATH...
That is the bottom line and all that is needed to end any idea that it constitutes a cult of death it's down right strange of you to arrive at that conclusion...
Which makes me wonder if you have little voices in your head leading you astray?
Perhaps you are being led astray by "locutions" of the dark side...
Mentally and or spiritually you are under attack and doing the wrong bidding...

It is you who must humble yourself and contemplate the lord and correct your course for your own sake...

Please stop with the personal attacks friend, it only shows your own insecurity. If you were confident in what you say, you wouldn't have to resort to saying I suffer from psychosis and voices in my head.

I hope you are happy with yourself because I doubt anyone else would be.

No no... by all means.... toss out a few more insults

that's how Christianity works.... make others feel inferior, resort to insults... personal attacks

make them feel guilty about their life... etc etc

im quite used to it believe me... I love it!

and you know why?

Because Christians show that they are soooo not like their Christ.... Just like Ghandi said...

makes me laugh...

Two separate incidents of the same thing in the same thread... on the same page...

You guys crack me up!!
