Instead of selectively picking out a few things I said, address the concept of too many tribes which creates the division we are currently dealing with?

I find Mediamatters just as dramatic as you find Brietbart, as a matter of fact, they are 2 different tribes doing a great job in keeping us divided!

Again, why can't we all just get along?

Why is it necessary to segregate and divide any of us?

Or could it be that you refuse to see different social movements as being part of a greater whole? Do you think that somebody who supports something like equal pay for women is incapable of also being concerned with marriage equality?

I suggest that you're the one actually suffering from cognitive dissonance. You say, "I'm not against gay folk getting married whatsosever" but then you fail to take into account how something like this comes to be without people fighting for it?

I find it odd, that those groups demanding tolerance in todays world, seem to be the most intolerant of people who are different than they are.......

Let's take a look at two groups of people who have assembled and demanded change recently.

Tea Party Rally:

Garner Protests in NYC:

Which group seem more inclusive?

I don't know I am an old fashioned feminist who has this strange urge to find a cave to hide in the rest of my life!

If the young men and women can't earn enough to support themselves on I can see how they wouldn't want to complicate matters by starting families. I have stated many times on these boards that the only reason that great baker of bread ever considered leaving all his other activities such as farming ect was that society convinced him would earn enough from the bread he baked to fullfill all those other needs that he was devoting time to fullfill but no longer could..
Today's society has so severely broken this contract it's really quite outrageous! So of course society is falling apart!

It used to be that men and women were expected by society to marry heck sometimes they didn't even have a say as to who they married! Men were taught one set of skills while women were taught another thus making it quite necessary for them to marry, they needed each other! So some men and women of today have the freedom to walk alone if they chose to. I don't see how this is a bad thing! It means that if you find someone who chooses to walk with you for life they are doing so because they want to not that they have to!

And I would rather have a man change my tire because he wanted to than he had to!
You cannot know how much you are loved if the person is being force to do this or that by society's expectations, legal obligations, your demands or coercions, ect. love doesn't enter the picture that much under those conditions just obligation and responsibilities.

That was a team effort, by a group of more than 50 scientists over a period of a decade.

To state that she did that, all by her lonesome is really really ridiculous.

I didn't say she did that by her lonesome, the article clearly states it was a group effort and what her role was in the advancement of that technology. The subsequent articles also clearly state whether a woman was the sole inventor or not.

I am not against anyone fighting to be treated equally.....As a matter of fact I said "Freedom isn't a one way street".

Obviously your having a hard time figuring that one out?

I gave you many examples of how I feel about it. Keep your blinders on......

The question posed was what inventions did women make that you use on a day to day basis.

You simply replied with, how about a computer. Don't be so generalist if you meant something different.

Although I agree with you and not that other poster, your argument is lacking because of brevity.

No mention of Von Neumann or Konrad Zuse either

I prefer using the word succinct when there is substantial clear information posted via a link.

That's why I said that you're the one suffering from cognitive dissonance. You're all in favor of equality, you're just against how it's attained.

My only point is that there is plenty of ways to still be masculine in todays society, and inventing and building is one of them. Feminists might do well to support this sort of masculine activity, rather than attempt to demonize masculinity all together.

Well, since it appears that building (infrastructure) has slowed down to a snail's pace and necessity may still be the mother of invention, perhaps now we all should look to rebuilding a social system that actually works for everyone.

How?

How is posting 2 pictures proof of anything?

I am being reasonable, your being emotional.

I am a gun owner that never hurt anyone, but yet I listen to people condemn me for something I have never done. It is your team that is pushing that issue! Where is my rights and my freedoms, when I am cornered into some of the ridiculous rhetoric that is coming out of the anti gun folk?

If people truly want to be free, they need to understand what it means first!

The division in this country is maddening.

But you continue to paint things in the manner your team has imprinted in your mind.

Equality is being used by the MSM and government as nothing more than a tool to further divide this country, not make it more tolerant........

But paint me however you choose, it makes no difference to me.

Either way, my ducks are in a row, and I am just patiently waiting......

Infrastructure has slowed to a snails pace due to the massively increased costs of building and maintaining infrastructure.

The single largest increase, in costs, has been labour. The reason the labour costs have increased so quickly is due to a lack of skilled trades people in the required industries.

Make of that what you will.

I'm not sure what this has to do with the topic at hand.

I was wondering the same thing when you started on this off topic, but my point here has to do with all of us finding ways of dealing with sociological changes/trends and perceived injustices.

The topic is men checking out of society because they think their masculinity isn't wanted, and they vent it on video games and online porn. I was trying to show that it is still needed.

Isn't moving the goal posts and using minimilistic language enough to satisfy the topic?

Come on....be realistic!

From reading the article, the younger generations of boys/men are confused about girls/women because the paradigm is ever-changing, and, perhaps, due to lack of good male role models in their life that respect and consider women in their life as not only equals but as contributing members of society. Also, perhaps due to the addictive nature of being connected to electronics and gaming, which can be due to many other trending changes in our society. I think their masculinity is wanted, just not in the way they see in video games and pornography.

Give it time. Once we master robotics or genetic engineering to create household Catgirls, we will be able to have platonic relationships between all genders and not have to worry about chemical interaction. Women are behaving a lot more independently and truly becoming "Men without beards".

P.S: That shirt from OP would not be offensive if you put the logo from the one on the right onto the one on the left.
