No but you should when the police are infringing upon the 1st amendment
Freedom of protest and not to get hit with rubber and pepper bullets or tear gas while doing so or to prevent you from your right to protest
Once the riots break out and things get destroyed you lose your right to protest in that area for the safety of the rest of the population. If you can't understand that, then sorry, I don't know what to tell you.

Ok, so people protest peacefully, then a truck load of nasty people arrive and start the rioting, then people like you say they lose their right to protest because of the rioting! Guess who sends in the truck loads of rioters?

It's not strange when you consider that many military trained men and women become police officers.
The reality is the majority of police in America are inadequately provisioned for the daily threat they encounter.
the truth is 10,000 people a WEEK leave american prisons, two thirds of these will likely be re-arrested within twelve months.
The Police are the front line of a broken system that too many people are making too much money from so it's in their (the law firms, privatized prisons) best interest to not have it fixed, this is the reality of capitalism.
Have a search on how many million dollar law firms donate to political party's...

I care mate don't worry about that I'm just saying see it from their prospective
I think if you were emotionally involved all that stuff goes out the window
Imagine if it were you're relative or a close friend that was killed by the police? Forget the looters because they were most probably the minority, I mean the peaceful protesters that can't get their point across without being hounded by a cop in battle fatigues

I think the idea that was being implied was that if peaceful protestors can lose rights so easily through no fault of their own then that could be one heck of an avenue for Governments to shut down any protests they want shut down. They could simply send in some of their own, posing as protestors, cause some destruction, and poof citizen rights gone. Not like it hasn't happened before.
BREAKING: Shots fired; Oakcrest Ave. Jennings, MO. Black male laying in the street. (#Ferguson Police Scanner)”.

With the rioting and looting going on along with the thugs doing the rioting and looting being armed ... consider it acceptable for order to be restored to the area ..
I have no clue what you're talking about truck coming with protesters and ruining a protest.
Editor's note: Media on the scene are reporting tensions are mounting in Ferguson, Mo., between police and protesters after a bottle was thrown at police. We're monitoring the situation. - Jillian
