Try it again, then read the green message you get at the top of the vote box.

Not sure how they tell, if it's by username here or IP address though, SO would have to chime in about that.

I logged out, and tried to vote again, so I don't think it's tied to username. It seems you might be able to vote as a guest, as the pole still showed up.

Libertarian with a very strong conservative/constitutional leaning. Who's with me?

Ummm...Give me Liberty........or get the hell out of my way.

It was a toss up between either of the Libertarian choices, to be honest. But I settled for the same one you did because it mentioned the Constitution..........the strong conservative aspect was more a "meh" moment.....Now if only that were changed to "common sense"..........but then it would have to be common and I fear that trait is rather uncommon and not attributable to the greater unwashed or "progressive" genetic makeup....

Perhaps a eulogy is in order...?

YouSir

That's what I'm talking about. You have common sense.

Anarchy is the greenest choice since the natural order of things and nature follows that model aside from the ordered and predictable aspects of nature which we have little to no understanding of yet.

If I HAD to pic one, which I hate to do, I would choose the Green Party. I wanted to choose a combination of 3 of them...

My screen isn't big enough, but when I scrolled up I saw it.

The only tolerable option was anarchy. Anything else would require too many caveats and conditions.

Another poll... tired of analyzing post's ?

Poll's are a waste of time along with being inconsistent with knowing anything about anybody.

YAH, I know, then just ignore them which is what I will do.

So the results here say there are more Green Party folks than anybody else. Where are all of you guys hiding?! Are we voting Green Party this next election?

Yeah.... I'm guessing that either most people aren't voting in this poll (because NO WAY is this site more Green/socialist/environment than conservative, just no way) or people are just joking.

Unless it just SEEMS very Right-Wing conservative because they're loud and mouthy?

I dunno...

Wow how much more cynical and miserable can you get?

ATS enjoys doing things to keep it interesting around here on ATS, they like doing things that involve their members.

You dont have to take the poll ( but I bet despite all your snide remarks you still did).

You didnt have to post on thread either (but you did)

If its all such a waste of time and so miserable, then why did you waste YOUR time doing it?

I'd like to see a poll, "Do you support the occupation of the Ukraine by Russian forces?"
Or the occupation of Afghanistan by NATO forces.

To combat terrorist extremists is one thing. To attempt to conquer is another.

I imagine if you were from Afghanistan you would see it very differently, anyway don't want to take the thread off topic

I voted green party and am shocked to see that it holds the greatest percentage. Probably wouldn't be the case if the options were more broad.

Quite a few anarchists in here! I like it!

It's our only real option, every other choice involves people controlling other people and that just never ends well...

I'll guess you are new around here. It is always most vocal opposite of president. When Bush was in office it felt like all left all the time. That's just the way it is, most people don't like criticizing their guy.

The language in this poll is interesting. The Green Party write up is so much more extensive and pepper with emotional pressure point words that I a not surprised it is winning. Also the dilution of libertarian into 2 - constitutional IS strong state weak federal but is broken out into 2.

Green party: Ecological Wisdom, Social and Economic Justice, Grassroots Democracy, and Nonviolence and Peace 18.8%

Green Party still in the lead..who would have thought...

Way to go ATS Americans !!

I'm now off to kissing flowers and hugging a tree.

I think the poll is being trolled or people are looking to secure their victim status. There's no way in hell, Green could be in the lead.

GIVE ME LIBERTY!

Meanwhile, in the real world, the modern American brand of libertarianism fills the same sort of niche on the far right that communism does on the far left.

They're both unworkable ideologies built around and entirely reliant upon unsound, heterodox economic theories that are themselves premised on axiomatic models of human behavior which have nothing to do with reality.

An appeal to "common sense" is simply an appeal to ignorance — a ploy of propagandists who pander to intellectual laziness.
