heavy fighting at border post in Lugansk area since early this morning.
Resistance forces trying to take over this post which is allegedly National Guard&Right Sector command base.
Base has been completely surrounded and they cannot receive reinforcement, though jet fighter has been sent to help.

Looks like Vostok battalion is taking over a main role on resistance forces side.
They seem to be well organised and quite well equipped.

Looks like this is spiralling fast into a fullscale civil-war now.

Out of curiosity were the weapons we keep seeing with Pro Russians / whatever you want to call them ever sold to Ukraine? There was a lot of "seizing" of military / police stations where weapons went missing. If the Ukraine military never bought / produced these items who supplied them?

The SA-24 type wasn't used in Ukraine, only SA-18 and SA-16 (from wiki)

So the SA-24 can only come from the russian army or a blackmarket source, correct?

I have to admit, these Batalion Vostok guys look like regular soldiers to me, not like next-door-vladimir with his old kalashnikov :/

From what I found about Vostok, a lot of ex Berkut and special unit "Alfa"people are now a part of Vostok battalion.
The person who commands Vostok battalion is Alexander Khodakovsky.
Until mid-March, Khodakovsky used to head the elite special unit "Alfa" in Donetsk region.

I could say the same for those whom have being defending Ukraine's new oligarch poster child, its rather ironic. If this were WW2 right now you would be cheering for the fascists to take over in Ukraine.

You really know what's ironic is the fact that if this happened in Russia nobody that supports them would have a problem with them protecting their homeland, but for some god forsaking reason it is wrong for Ukraine to do so.

Freedom Fighters in Ukraine fighting agaisnt fascist and oligarchs are armed terrorists even fighters whom are from Chechnya are even fighting for a worthy cause rather then blowing themselves at a school,and not using women as bombers to do's a man's job.

Do we really want to take a look back at how Russia deals with armed terrorists on their homeland.

Well then that also goes for the facist/neo nazi moniker that get's put on those who defend Ukraine right to protect their country from armed invaders.

It works both ways.

Hundreds of separatists in eastern Ukraine have mounted an assault on a border command centre near the city of Luhansk, the border agency says.

It says five militants were killed and eight wounded when the centre came under sustained attack. Seven border guards are said to have been wounded.

A Ukrainian military aircraft has been despatched to support the centre.

Meanwhile, Russia's Gazprom has given Ukraine more time to settle its gas bill after receiving a part payment.

The energy company had previously threatened to halt shipments of gas unless Ukraine paid its bill in full and agreed in future to pay in advance.

It's funny how western media overlooked the fact that Ukrainian army made an airstrike today on the city hall in Lugansk, killing at least five civilians. After that they said that the explosion came from the inside. After confronted with the fact that it was a rocket, official statement went from a bomb to the rocket that was launched by separatists hitting the air conditioner. And finally after confronted with the fact that there was no air conditioner there and numerous videos showing ukrainian fighter jet firing rockets, they simply refer to this as 'just explosion' ... There were no militants there, just civilians that were ripped apart. This sh1t has to stop. Bombing civilians is a major war crime!

Do you actually think America cares what happens to these people.They did not care in Iraq, they did not and do not care about what happens to the people in Libya, and hell they train and arm the head choppers in Syria,Do you think they care about war crimes well maybe if it serves Americas interests but that's it..

First thing is how do you know that militants were not in the building?

Secondly, sending armed insurgents into another country would be considered an act of war and the fact that the separatists are using civilians as human shields doesn't bother you, why?

Now do any of these videos show an actual Ukraine jet fire the rocket that supposedly hit this building because if not all you are doing is speculating.

Well now if they hadn't puts troops on the ground in Ukraine this wouldn't have happened, or am I missing something because before this they weren't having this kind of problem that required that type of response.

Russia has spy satellites every bit as capable as ours, maybe better. it just so happens they are watching everything. and I haven't seen this posted in the thread yet, but Russia has kept tabs on all these pilots who have shot at the civilians and their children and are making their names public to the ukranian people. how is that for irony?

When you are not sure then you DO NOT SHOOT !!

That is a basic military practice.

So now Kiev Junta has come down to killing children in schools.

A strong case is building up for a Russian SLEDGEHAMMER landing on the Junta and its assets.
