Do not bring the name of your military unit in the same paragraph as the kidde answers. It hurts their image ;-)

American capabilities............other than F-22s there is little to worry about for Russia. That too only in dog fight scenario far away from the home theatre. Vrs the air defense systems and apparatus, F-22s are well within reach.

Your overall training is much better too and military has probably 90% less corruption.

There ,civility is better. I don't think much about MILITARY corruption, it is incompetence when it happens at the worst,or a handful of nutball troops.
Our government however is the face of someone else. Not our votes,I can't tell if your KGB functionary is the same or just a wanna be hard ass Stalin type.(You people actually LIKED him?) There is an unseen hand beyond what we know.

As to the 7th Cav ,I sure have a better reputation than Custer. And YOUR guys trained those speed bumps.not to mention we used Rommels /Russian tactics against Iraq.

Economic Collapse Looming in #Ukraine - Brief Sketches (May 31) from Internet Sources.

We are receiving reports ...
(Original: gwinplane.livejournal.com...)

An overview of the situation in the central region [of Ukraine] - Cherkassy Oblast. We have the real makings of a crisis, a hunger revolt is brewing here. There are no jobs, there is no money, no trading happening ...

My girlfriend trades at the bazaar. She earns 50 hryvna a day, working from 7 in the morning until 8 in the evening. Before, she could hustle up some money - she could make a hundred or two.

These days, there is no haggling. People are thinking about running, not about stocking up with food. 50 hryvna a day - that's about a pack of cigarettes, bus fare both ways and a loaf of bread to take home. Her husband lost his job, they have a little kid ... The kid needs at least a sausage a day [to survive].

Even at a time like this, wartime, time of poverty, with minimal spending, they need to buy at least a pair of cheapest sandals for the kid [and they can't].

People from military bases in Uman and in the neighbouring region - Rossoshki (they have the largest ammo depot around here) - are refusing to go to fight in the war.

Exactly how they said it: "if I am called up to go and fight, I will enter my resignation - I could not #ing care if I have a year left till retirement." They really do not understand what it is they would be fighting for.

People are starting to understand that TV is lying to them. They are buying satellite dishes. Watching Russian channels!!! They are starting to go a little crazy over this ...

The separatist-held east Ukrainian town of Antratsyt is turning into a hub for fighters and arms from neighbouring Russia, one frightened resident has told BBC News.

Like the smokeless anthracite coal from which it takes its name, the town appears to be quietly burning with martial activity.

Cossack militiamen from the neighbouring Russian region of Rostov and fighters from the North Caucasus wander its streets, Oxana (not her real name) said by telephone.

Armoured troop carriers pass through the streets, four, five, six at a time, according to the woman, who is in her mid-thirties.

A friend in a block of flats closer to the centre, she says, witnessed helicopters hovering over the town centre at about 04:00 a few days earlier.

After they left, a "huge" quantity of military hardware lay on the square, including what appeared to be heavy machine-guns and anti-aircraft cannon, destination unknown.

Dragonrdr, we can all read british news outlets. What you posting without any comments is not 'News From Inside Of Ukraine', do you realize that?

In a meantime, Chechen republic leader Ramsan Khadyrov has said in his interview on RenTV, there are 74.000 Chechen volunteers on a stand by ready to move in to 'assist establishing peace and order in Ukraine'.

Not sure whether it's good or bad, but the slaughter of civilians, among who are elderly, women and children has to stop, imo.

You will read this in british news outlets soon. Link I have is in Russian.

peace folks. At least I commented))) LOL

So what is Putin's plan now. Is he going to leave the people in Eastern Regions on their own or come up with some sort of help. Atleast he should arm them well with weapons that can change the variables easily against Kiev.

There is constant shelling and military assaults going on in eastern region and common everyday civilians are being targeted and victimized. That is immoral on part of both Kiev and Moscow.

Interesting link/READ about the Ukraine mess:
robinwestenra.blogspot.nl...

Also don't miss that wikileaks link which is in same article from 2008.. (can't link it here it seems).

Too much to copy and past here but it explains allot and it's just as I thought it was basicly.

And old plan trying to let Ukraine join the NATO which will split the country in 2 with a goal to hurt Russia and the EU economical where the US only wins if they succeed basicly.

Some predictions from that link:

- America will try by all means to aggravate the crisis in Ukraine, in order to weaken Russia and put the whole European market under its sway before it needs to shut down its printing presses.

- The Kremlin will try to translate the crisis in Ukraine from the acute to the chronic phase - civil war plus sluggish negotiations amid the economic collapse of Ukraine. At the same time, the Kremlin will use the time to create favorable conditions for the transition to the sharp confrontation with the United States - from the work on untethering from the dollar with China, Iran, Qatar, creating the EEC etc.

- Complete end to the crisis in December 2014, possibly earlier if U.S. desists from trying to exacerbate the hostilities.

- And if it does not desist? - Then ... a big war ... a war for resources, because shale "boom" was an ordinary bubble.

Hes already sending troops and equipment now the argument is does it make things worse on civilians? Id say yes and there moving the sepratists out of the way and taking over but Chechens arent known for subtlety. And this is going to lose them harts and minds of the locals Many Ukrainians are scared of them meaning they will start looking for ways to remove them.

You are trying to turn the table as if its Lugansk population is being helped by junta fighting Russian aggressors, sort of held hostages by Russians and Kiev simply killing civilians as some act of help to them against Russian agressor. I just don't get it.

About Chechens... don't you worry, my little friend, it won't come to brutal execution episodes, coz once the rumour about Chechens entering Lugansk spreads, right sector bums will run Poland direction like African antelopes.

turning tables on facts and disinformation is his main job, very irritating at times !!

As per the above article, it seems civil war is going to increase in intensity and US will try to provoke Russia to invade and then supply weapons to Junta to make another Afghanistan for Kremlin.

Keeping that in mind, Russia should prolong the Afghanistan for US by supplying crucial items and information to the right elements. That should keep the Kabul Coffee warmed up for the NATO troops and their backers in DC and Brussels all the while their dollar printing presses go from 3 shifts on 5 weekdays to 3 shifts for the whole week of 7 days.

Provoking civil wars in other countries and when their troops arrive in body bags they refuse any media filming. Guess this evilness is going on at various places since 1991 Iraq war. Ukraine is the place where this evilness will get CHOKED once and for all !!

Ukrainian nationalists from volunteer battalions Kharkiv and Sloboda.
Google translation.

Ukraine must be one of the very few countries in the world if not the only one where paramilitary forces became regular forces while regular army has been pushed aside and basically does not exist any more.
These paramilitary forces consist mostly of rusophobia driven nationalists.

After mass desertions in the Ukrainian army, failure to perform military criminal orders and transitions soldiers on the side of the people, illegitimate Ukrainian authorities decided to bet on the nationalists, create special battalion of them - death squads.
Now the country are actively preparing fighters for these units. offer you a training process spetsbatalona MIA of Ukraine "Kharkiv" and "Sloboda", formed in the Kharkiv region. speak about the quality of training militants themselves, proudly claim that they are trained for a month, which is the usual time police officer held for five years. "It is clear that over the last month can only prepare bandit - but not the fighter of the law", - commented on the allegations experts.

Looks like China is not going to play neutral role in regards to events in Ukraine any more.

Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the People's Liberation Army of China Lt. Gen. Wang Guanzhong at a meeting with Russian Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov at the 13th international conference on security in Asia supported the Russian stance on Ukraine.

"During the discussion of topical international security problems separate attention was paid to the situation in Ukraine. The head of the Chinese delegation expressed support for the Russian position and voiced serious concern about the developments in Southeastern Ukraine stressing the importance of stopping Kiev's punitive operation against civilians," a report of the Russian Defense Ministry press service received by Interfax on Sunday says.

end speaking of China

On June 1, 2014, China and Japan begin direct exchange of their currencies without prior conversion to U.S. dollars.
Earlier on the same agreed to Moscow and Beijing. Such actions will lead to the weakening of the dollar as a world currency. Exchange Japanese yen and the Chinese yuan will be back in the currency markets of Tokyo and Shanghai.
Previously this was done taking into account exchange rates against the dollar, but now goes directly exchange. This will avoid potential problems associated with fluctuations in the quotations of U.S. currency on the world market. The decision to phase out the dollar as an intermediary currency was taken during a visit to Beijing Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda. Previously reported that in commercial transactions between Russia and China is also no longer be used U.S. currency. Such an agreement signed VTB and Bank of China.
Instead dollar Russia and China in mutual payments will use the ruble and the yuan. Analysts point out that the desire to weaken the dollar is closely linked with the growing geopolitical ambitions of China.
"China sees the dominance of the dollar in international transactions vestiges of American global dominance, which they hope to overthrow the future" - said the expert on peace and security research Hemprshirskogo Michael Clare College.

New voices from EU after recent elections and finally some common sense.
EU should be neutral in regards to Ukraine as siding with US can only hurt its economy.
