Do you think John Mccain has any power in Washington?

The fact he controls the IRI NGO and several others across the global should be rinsing bells.

But see right now he has no power in fact the current administration pretty much thinks hes useless. His bid for the presidency was even worse people unanimously rejected him handing a victory to democrats.

I am sure an NeoCon administration would please you the most in fact you love for an Republican to go to war with Iran and Russia.

Now as far as oligarchs this didnt start because of them it started because of corruption by Yanukovych He and his son robbed the country blind.

Ah Really? Yanukovych robbed Ukraine's bank and your evidence for the claims is what? MSM? Opposition Junta sources its pretty much clear your defending the newly selected oligarch.

All Putin has shown them is oppression and dependence
I have to disagree but i am sure NeoCons and War Mongers would agree with you.

is it any wonder Ukrainians want to follow the EU model instead of Russia's?
Its not a major surprise that the majority of Italians, British, French. Spanish dont want to follow the EU model why? just look what your beloved follow the EU model does to other countries in Europe it brings poverty.

Even when the crises started long before Maiden

I guess this video means nothing to you but thats obvious considering your least statement.

Obama a neo con wow your clueless arent you? I started laughing so hard i almost spilled my coffee. See Obama is far from a conservative hes a liberal democrat. And try as you might you cant say Russian troops havnt invaded Ukraine the only people that believe that are people that only watch Russian television. But by all means continue to believe the evil world is out to get Russians i see paranoia runs deep in putins followers. Well at least i started my day with a good laugh.

Dragon as expected the election was called a selection and a fraud of course. I think its time people actually decided to bear down since some posters fail to recognize a election that most of the rest of the world sees and considers legal. Its gotten way out of hand now.

Kiev military helicopters were seen firing missiles at anti-Kiev positions at Donetsk International Airport, Monday, as part of an air attack on the facility.

Two fighter jets have reportedly also been seen flying over the area.

Heres a report on the airport gives details how it started. I dont think the separatists were expecting it to go like that they had to run from the beginning only managing to take over the terminal.Im assuming the only reason they could do that is all the civilians that would be present making a gun battle in the terminal unlikely. Looks like there big mistake was trying to move further into the airport.

Scores killed in Donetsk as grenade hits truck carrying wounded - reports
rt.com...

Self-defense of Donetsk says that at least 35 people have been killed when a rocket propelled grenade hit their truck transporting the wounded from the airport area where the Kiev troops are waging an ‘anti-terror operation.’

According to a Life News report the truck carrying the wounded was marked as an ambulance. Donetsk People’s Republic (DNR) source said that 15 more were wounded in the strike on the truck.

The most interesting read was not the news, but a comment.

Putin where are you. You said that you would prevent the slaughter. Are you now more interested in doing business with those who are behind this slaughter of Orthodox. Kirill said that you are God's gift to Russia and the Orthodox. Now we need the fruits of that endorsement.

Valid point, no ?

They were also discussing the pro Russian groups tried to take an airport in the region and failed to do so.

Russia's comment on those actions were confusing since they now claim that Ukraine is using military force against her own people. I was under the impression they were Russians, not Ukrainians. After all that is the argument Putin has been making to justify its actions. Secondly I find it funny how Putin demands Ukraine to stop while ignoring the world when he invaded Chechnya. Back to that whole credibility thing.

I asked a question some time back and no one bothered to touch it.

If Putin's main concern and justification is to protect Ethnic Russians, are the Ethnic Russians in Crimea somehow better than those in the South and East?

As stated - Here comes the "boomerang" back towards Putin for his actions.
* - Failure to support those he stated were the primary reason for Russian invasion.
* - Demonstrates to the world that Russian justification was a farce solely to allow them to seize Crimea.
* - Demonstrated his concern was not for ethnic Russians but for his own personal gain in the military realm.

* - The sudden realization by "ethnic Russians" that they had an issue of their hijacked and exploited by Putin to get what he wanted - a land grab in Crimea.

* - The realization in Russia that the public was misled by Putin and the Russian Media.

* - Putin now has a credibility disaster on his hands with no way to fix it.

They want this to go away quietly now.... Something I don't think will make the ethnic Russians who were left behind all that happy.

In one arrogant move Putin managed to reinvigorate NATO, push countries he does not want to be a part of NATO into NATO, push countries to the European Union, destroy his credibility with the world community all at the same time demonstrating to the "ethnic Russians" that he is still using Hitlers playbook. I never would have thought in a million years that Russia and Nazi Germany would have so much in common.

Those who don't fight get what they deserve from the "enemy".

To the world -

For the Ethnic Russians he screwed over.

I agree this was lose lose for Putin but i think he originally thought it would play out differently. Also cant really use the excuse Ukrainian military is waring with the people when they attack an airport. That puts Ukraines military on the defensive. Also if the truck was destroyed they were trying to escape the scene in thats only common sense. They should have surrendered at the airport instead of fleeing and those people could have got medical help. But then i read how they buried a Russian in the woods after another skimish by putting him in a ditch and covering him over. If Ukrainians hadnt seen them do it his relatives in Russia wouldnt even know he died. They obviously have little concern for there russian volunteers.

That's because they are now a liability that Putin will be forced to deal with.

Russia has no room to criticize Ukraine for using air assets to deal with armed separatists as they have done the same in Chechnya and Afghanistan.

The vote for independence was invalid in the South and the East, just as it was in Crimea. Since utin accepted the outcome of the Presidential election he just removed the term "illegitimate" government from the equation. It also means that the Ukraine Constitution is valid, meaning the South and East are still a part of Ukraine.

Like Russia, Ukraine can defend itself from armed rebels.

When Ukraine starts dropping chemicals onto civilian areas without due regard for civilians then Russia can bitch. Putin can then use whichever of his 2 faces to explain the difference between Syria and Ukraine, where the former has used chemical weapons on its civilian population and the former has not, in addition to taking caution and location into account for military operations.

I still advocate the return of Kaliningrad to Germany.

Putin should make an announcement distancing himself from Pro Russian forces in the East / South and call on them to cease their activities. If Putin declines and insists its an internal matter of Ukraine then Russia needs to sit down and shut up.

RT must employ psychics.

They are one of the only media outlets that always seems to be "in the right place at the right time" with a news story they don't explain. By the way, raw footage is not the same as an actual broadcast / report. The raw footage does not place anything into context or explain what occurred.

RT has certainly mastered "wag the dog".

Antifascists Odessa declare liquidation of centurion Mikola

On several Ukrainian news portals today was reported that Nikolai Volkov was killed. In the media and on the Internet he is better known as the centurion Mikola. This is the same man in a blue shirt and vest, who did not conceal the face, shooting at people in burning building on May 2 in Odessa

Billionaire oligarch and front-runner in the country's elections, Petro Poroshenko, declared that Ukrainian soldiers will "no longer be naked, barefoot and hungry!", saying that the Ukrainian military's counter-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine should continue with serious changes made to make the campaign quicker and more effective.

Well chocolate king has spoken.
I wasn't aware that he was one of the founders of Party of Region, the same party Yanukovych belonged too.

From Wikipedia

Although Poroshenko was dismissed as foreign minister on 11 March 2010, President Viktor Yanukovych expressed hope for further cooperation with him

Looks like Ukraine made a big step forward in choosing him as a president

I am now even more convinced we will see another Maidan soon. No wonder tents are still there.

instrumental in helping to create Party of Regions however he was never a member of it. The party of regions encompasses political ideology across the spectrum and the changes made to parliamentary elections is what doomed Yanukovych.

Russia even pointed that out noting that if Ukraine's parliament groups could work together it would spell the end of Yanukovych.

I will cede the point that Russian media called that one correctly back in 2010/2012.

in any case he was involved in corruption.
He is no different from Yanukovych or any other corrupted president from the past in Ukraine.
The only difference between them is who is on Russia's side and who is on US/EU side.
People of Ukraine or what ever is left of it will not see any improvement.
As a mater of fact having now IMF involved they will see a difference, for a worse.

In September 2005, highly publicized mutual allegations of corruption erupted between Poroshenko and Tymoshenko involving the privatizations of state-owned firms. Poroshenko, for example, was accused of defending the interests of Viktor Pinchuk, who had acquired state firm Nikopol Ferroalloy for $80 million, independently valued at $1 billion.[13] In response to the allegations, Yushchenko dismissed his entire cabinet of ministers, including Poroshenko and Prime Minister Tymoshenko.[14] State prosecutors dismissed an abuse of power investigation against Poroshenko the following month,[15] immediately after Yushchenko dismissed Svyatoslav Piskun, General Prosecutor of Ukraine. Piskun claimed that he was sacked because he refused to institute criminal proceedings against Tymoshenko and refused to drop proceedings against Poroshenko.[16]

Russia is a member of the IMF so you cans really stop tying to use that failed comparison as it does not support the claims you try and make.

Do you support the new President of Ukraine?
If not why?
If its corruption, then what's the difference in Yanukovych and the new President?

Also do you guys ever get tired of making blanket accusations?

corruption.. all members of Ukraine's government at all levels are corrupt.
All members of Ukraine's government are Neo Nazi fascists.

Yet time and again when asked you guys fail to support your accusations.

Condemning a person for something while ignoring a person you like for doing the same is indicative of Stalinesque mindset.

I guess you become a billionaire and oligarch with a hard and honest work.

Of course he was corrupted and he invested in corruption but
since being a man with money he was able to bribe the system and he avoided Yulia's faith and jail.

A year later, a public falling out with then-Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, forced him to resign. Poroshenko was accused of corruption, defending the interests of Viktor Pinchuk, who had acquired a state firm for $80m that was independently valued at $1bn. However, state prosecutors dismissed an abuse of power investigation against him in a month.
