Weird how they werent traitors before the 2014 US coup, no? Regardless, im talking about civilian deaths.

Ukraine nor Russia is involved with the ICC.

It was genocide, which is not an excuse nor justification but it is a perspective

There was no Coup. the former president left before they did anything. And it was in line with their constitution. they held a national vote,to which donbas did not participate in,and they were declared in rebellion. The pro russian civilians should leave if they are unhappy. They didnt and got what they deserved for not being loyal to their country.
One mans genocide is anothers police action.

False. Unless the revolution was for naught.......

Then, because the Donbass didnt participate that is equal to rebellion?

A rebellion of a revolution????

Which proceded a US backed coup.

I can see why the Ukrainian people would want to get rid of their Moscow puppet President and gain some of the freedoms of the West , if there was a coup it was the people against the government that didn't represent the will of the people and the people won , Huzzah ! , sadly Mother Russia doesn't let go that easily.

The thing is, is this was a democratically elected government that was elected with the majority of the support from people in the East, especially the far east. Kyiv the capital is in the West, particularly in the far west.

You guys just don't understand how it is in Ukraine, its like Biden is in power in the US and all Republicans, like 90% of them, millions and millions and millions of them all live in the Washington DC area and the rest of the East. There is no democrats that live in Washington and the Eastern US, well not any that will publicly admit it because well they are out numbered in Washington 15 to 1. The Republicans stage a COUP in Washington DC where they all are. Other Republican militias line up people far out from Washington , they guard the city, just in case any democrats travel from the west, but they don't because well there's tens of millions of Rebuplicans in Washington and they'll get their butts kicked.

So the Republicans stage the coup, take over the white house, capitol etc etc, Biden has to flee to Canada for the safety of his life and then people like you from another country that have no idea what's going on says "well it was the people against the government and the people won. Did you see all the people in Washington against Biden? The People of the US didn't want him in power no more, there was so many against him in Washington"

Edit-oh and on top of it all there is an alien super power that is 10X as strong as the US that sends representatives to Washington DC to hang out with all the millions of Republican citizens that are surrounding the Whitehouse and Capitol, they hand out Alien burgers to the people and say "Get rid of this Biden character, don't worry about anything we got your back"

The USA placed all Japanese Americans in internment camps during WWII, which was ok, right?

Zelensky is probably working toward this with any Ukrainian citizens of Russian descent.
This is acceptable for the sake of supporting the war effort.

The Ukrainian government had already called all the Ukranians of Russian descent Terrorists back in 2014. They sent in the Army and the government backed Nazzeee militias to many cities and towns and called it an "Anti terrorist operation" didn't matter if you were 90 years old living out your last years, if you lived in one of these ethnic Russian Ukrainian towns or cities you were a Terrorist and Ukraine just might hit you or your home with a Rocket, bomb or a shell.

Yanukovych agreed to step down. The Rada reverted to the old constitution as agreed. When Yanukovych fled the country (to Russia), he abandoned his post as President. Under their constitution, when he fled, he abandoned his office. The Rada then scheduled elections, as their constitution called for.

There was no coup.

Are you guys being serious? It's a war. They literally kill people, but shutting down a party and taking their money is unacceptable? You can't tolerate foreign agents working to undermine the war effort when real lives are on the line.

If he continues to ban parties for ideological reasons after the war, then I'll change my mind. But a pro-Russia party in that situation should absolutely be banned.

You are looking at it through in Americans eyes.

So if US and Mexico happened to get into a war, should all Latinos be banned from US politics? Because you know they might be foreign agents, even though they were born in the US

If Canada and France got in a war should all French Canadian government parties be banned? Because you know they are ethnic French people and they just might be foreign agents even though they, their parents and grandparents were all born in Canada, they still might have a soft spot for France.

Ya stuff like this was fine 80 years ago during World War 2 but would it still be fine today? Should all Iraqis and Afganis been put in concentration camps in the US the past 20 years?

None of that happened in Ukraine, for God's sake. They didn't ban Russians from politics. Are you aware that Zelensky himself is Russian, he grew up speaking Russian at home? So are you really so ignorant about what is going on there, or are you trolling me? Banning a party doesn't equal banning an ethnicity.

That's a slippery slope right there.

Fact of the matter is all these opposition parties are being banned is because in the case of an election they might win.

Zelenskyy is scared and so is the west.

Even with revisionist history Ukraine was a part of the Soviet Union.

When does ethnicity matter and when can it be cast aside?

Holy crap, Annee.

We invaded Iraq unjustly in 2003. Lied about it.

We invaded Afghanistan in 2001 and stayed there for 20 years only to leave our enemies better armed and in the loving arms of communist China.

We turned Libya into a massive slave market.

We've been helping the House of Saud murder civilians in Yemen for the last 10 years.

You are unbelievably daft.

Which has nothing to do with Russia invading a sovereign neighbor.

1. RELIGION: late 2001, the United States and its close allies invaded Afghanistan and toppled the Taliban government.
2. RELIGION: During the 1970s and ’80s, Qaddafi’s government financed a wide variety of Muslim and anti-imperial groups worldwide, from Palestinian guerrillas and Philippine Muslim rebels to the Irish Republican Army.
3. RELIGION: United States invasion of Afghanistan In late 2001, the United States and its close allies invaded Afghanistan
and toppled the Taliban government.

Seek and you shall find the answers you choose to project.

I was under the impression we invaded Afghanistan to neutralize the Taliban, in response to terrorists attack on U.S. soil that killed > 3k people.

Their religion is their problem, until they use it to justify violence against us. We seem to have sorted out religion here, and figured out how to make it cooexist with government, so saying "RELIGION" caused the Afghanistan conflict, that is a bit of an oversimplification. ONE religion fomented terror attacks, and we responded to those attacks by invading Afghanistan, which had nothing to do with OUR religious context in the U.S.

We shouldn't forget that we also helped create Al-Qaeda and the Taliban by meddling in Afghanistan, and that had nothing to do with religion (it was to "counter communism").

I don't really get where you're going with Libya. Generally Qaddafi was considered more secular than counterparts in the region. He certainly was a bad actor in the 80's, but had really gone away from major support of terror groups in later years. The past history of Libya backing terror groups is not really relevant to the "Arab Spring" debacle that the U.S, foreign policy makers completely botched by using that as a pretext for regime change in Libya. Now Libya is worse off than before, and we all know whose fault that is.

Taliban = Religion = After the Taliban seized power in Afghanistan, they changed the name of the country to the "Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan".

The Middle East is a completely different mindset from the rest of the world. While they do seem to be trying to evolve -- the situation is not good comparison to what's happening with Russia and Ukraine.

Apples & Oranges

for all the "Armchair Generals".

Oh STOP IT
Russia had no plan of taking over all of Ukraine.....

Russia had no plan to invade Ukraine according to Putin Until he launched his "special operation" into Eastern Ukraine then proceeded to attack the rest of the country , territories seized are now treated as Russian with people being given Russian passports.

You have no idea what was / is in Putins head and the plans he has for retaking other regions he considers Russian so save me the "Oh STOP IT" BS when the prospect of the Russifacation of the rest of the country is mentioned.

It was 8 years after Crimea that Putin took his second bite into Ukraine , chances are he will at some point officially declare war on Ukraine and send the rest of his forces in to take the rest of the country rather than take another hiatus between conflicts.

Not sure what logic you are using here.

As the land occupied was never Mexican or French, but Native American in the first place
