Suggesting that details are required is not ''arrogance''.
So you obviously are in denial that OP probably heard a sonic boom and seen a sun halo...right?
Those are my suggestions, and as for the burnt face go read my post again, I said it could be anything, or even a lie.
You might believe everything you hear, I don't, GET OVER IT!
'Bashing the unbeliever' then creating straw man arguments seems par for the course for threads of no substance.
This thread and details of an 'event' lacks substance, surprised how many are defending it, oh wait, not surprised, I guess it's to be expected.
Could it be a sonic boom...yes
Could it be a sun halo....yes
Could this alleged 'ufo' be imagined or identifiable....yes
Do we have any proof of a burnt face....no
Do we have to believe it.... no
Could it have been a lie.... yes
Could it have been an illusion....yes
Could it have been a misinterpreted rational event.... yes
Do we have the right to question something....yes
Do we have the right to disbelieve something.... yes
Is believing something a person said, despite all evidence pointing to a rational explanation, ignorance....yes
Is ATS motto Deny Ignorance.... yes

Dont panic it was Boeing again this isnt the first time. They periodically flight test new aircraft and do indeed break the sound barrier then play stupid. Here was there statement from last time the news tried to find out who did it. In sept of 2011. See even Boeing knows there not supposed to do that so they say well matter of national security.
Supersonic flight is a requirement for us to fulfill our contract with the United States government to provide important products for the defense of our country. The location and time of those infrequent supersonic flights are directed and approved by government authorities, and Boeing is compliant with this direction. If there is damage to property as a result of these flights, we ask that residents contact Boeing representative Pat Frost at 314-234-6996.

Read up on my past history before making comments like that. Really.
If I lost you then you dont need to understand and put this together like I do right now, If I dont make that is normal for what I just witnessed.
2 Points here, the object that the jets were chasing and then the halo around the sun that burnt my face and quite frankly scared the living daylights out of me. I feared something struck the sun, or worse some kind of CMEwhich blew out a portion of the sun, I dont know!!!

I'll believe pretty much anything, well that was until I came here. I'm wondering what this person thought we were gonna do- with no drawings, photos, video, sound, physical burns, other eyewitnesses. You know substantial evidence, the stuff you deny ignorance with. If you like preaching to the choir that's one thing but intolerance of questions in a place where you are supposed to deny ignorance is intolerable so you have no place here actually if you want to tell people where to go and what to think. This OP is nonsense in the sense that there is nothing to go by except a story, even if it WAS absolutely true so what? The witness should then bow down to whatever he saw and pray it doesn't kill him; not run to a social media website full of crazy people and expect real answers. I mean really how can anyone tell this person what happened and be believable? What kinds of answers was the op looking for anyway? What kind of person comes here for comfort and support?

The thread was moved to Gray area I asked for details before that.
Being in the gray area doesn't mean automatic belief.
I didn't ask for ''proof''.
Threads in the 'gray area' can and should be questioned otherwise they are pointless, it's a discussion forum.
I am questioning the thread, and rightly so, I have every right to do so.
If you or others cannot tolerate those that question things then perhaps the gray area or even ATS isn't for you.edit on 4-2-2014 by theabsolutetruth because: (no reason given)

Well, this looks to sum up the overall vibe I am getting from the site and I am sorry to say I am disappointed. I thought I was joining a site that had open discussion on a wide range of topics, from mainstream to fringe, and perhaps things might be open and intelligent, but this is not the case.
