Here's that summary again:

A summary so far:

OP 'heard a boom'

OP seen planes 'scrambling' round an 'object'

Planes make sonic booms

Missiles and planes are objects

OP seen a halo round the sun and confirmed it looked like a sun halo

OP is near various Air bases and Aviation test sites

OP is at a non populated area that is used for Air force and aviation test exercises

There aren't any other reports at all yet from others in the area of anything similar.


So here we have it, there is at least a 99% chance that the jets seen made the sonic boom and the halo was a sun halo.

Sonic booms from jets and sun halos aren't ''HUGE events''!

As for the burnt face, no details so could be anything, sunburn, rash etc.

Americans get such a bad rep in Europe from just believing things they want to hear, I often try defending them but not now.

Big object, 5 scrambling jets, halo around the sun disk, and something has burned your face....

I don't post that often as I prefer to linger and read, but I have to say that this thread has turned into complete garbage and is a prime example of why people like me don't post that often...

so either people on these forum's really need to grow up or the disinfo agents are laughing it up in their cubicles for turning something interesting into total garbage...

True, but it doesn't explain the burns.

It doesn't explain the uknown object that appeared to be being pursued, so, not all questions have been effectively answered.

Don't misunderstand, I see your point, but, I also agree there is a degree of strangeness. Some of the best UFO footage and credible accounts are military pilots that witnessed events, and the footage of strange things around military installations and involving military planes.

I think it may be too early yet, to call this one "solved".

There are no details on any ''UFO'' so it could have been a plane, parts of a plane, an exploding missile, some reflection, a mirage, anything.

The B2 Spirit is used there, it's a stealth plane and at an angle looks practically invisible, it also could have been a new test aircraft or missile.

It all sounds exactly like an air force or aviation test, fact.

As for the '' burnt face'', that could be from anything, the sun, a fuel explosion, a chemical reaction from something else and unless OP provides some details, which they seem reticent to do, it could be seen as imagined.

I guess some people like to question things they hear and some don't.

This thread has become ridiculous and a waste of time, exactly the kind of thing that discredits real sightings.

Again, I agree with you. But, "sounds like", and something a little more concrete does not equal solved.

Again, there still remains the question of the burns. I am concerned for her, as I believe this did happen. Finding out what caused that could be vital to her health.

I think a little more than guessing at an answer is owed to this, just for that simple reason, alone.

Since I do believe she suffered a physical injury, I think all of us should be more concerned, as that means if it were a military test or operation, then a civilian was injured. That's a bad thing, and should be brought to the forefront, and some attention demanded, lest it happen to someone else.

Until we have more solid answers, her, in particular, we have zero way of knowing what, if any impact, this could have had, or may in the future, have on her health.

Every single person reading this, IMO, should have a high level of concern, based on that, and that alone.

A military test placing civilians in danger of injury should be of utmost importance, and not brushed under the carpet as an every day occurrence. What if a child or infant had been outside? Would it be so easy to just blow it off then?

I find the actions of a lot of people here, absolutely disgusting. That is going for both, the people who are berating the OP, and those who are bowing down to her.

From what i can see, sheepslayer247 is the only member who has actually done some proper investigation into the subject. His findings have shown that no media outlet has any reports of what the OP has experienced. Additionally, the Springfield-Branson International airport didn't see anything odd in the area. As such, we can likely infer that what the OP witnessed was something of this earth, and probably not that extraordinary as she initially thought.

I would say that the OP probably witnessed an Air Force training exercise. That doesn't mean that she deserves to be bashed for perceiving the event in the way she did, however.

THAT IS WEIRD, i saw the same thing around the same time.... be honest with you i thought it was my roommates father's car to pick him up for work at 4 45, at first, but realized it was too early when i looked at the time, then when it happened again, i thought it was a ghost, cept i didnt get it up i just turned around and kept trying to sleep. u know this all slipped my mind completely till u said something.... i live in Swanton Vermont, right next to lake champlain, and btw i believe antar for all the reasons everyone else says. Cameras may be able to see more than the naked eye, but they catch less than it!

My view is that regardless of how well received the reporter may be... with nothing to corroborate the report we have to treat the report with some skepticism.

However, if there are multiple confirmed reports from unrelated sources then one must pay strict attention.

Your speculations about this event are quite weak and absolutely out of reality. The "invisible" B2 Spirit... the fuel explosion....chemical reaction... (Nah!....)

If she witnessed a training exercise, regardless of her perception, and received a physical injury from it, wouldn't you say that should be brought to the attention of someone?

Firstly, to discover the cause of the injury, and secondly, to determine and short term, or long term effects it could possibly have on her health?

And, if she received a physical injury from a military exercise, perhaps they need to review what the exercise is, and any danger there may be to the public?

I think people should be stamping their feet, jumping up and down, and DEMANDING some answers! Adults, and children, appear to be being put at risk by military exercises. This should NOT be okay!

IF that is the generally accepted answer, people should be up in arms about it!

Stepped outside and heard a loud boom towards the west, a few seconds later a smaller boom and I then looked up to the south and saw 5 jets converging on what I can describe as a metallic object warbling in the sky. There was then a HUGE dark halo which surrounded the sun for over 2 minutes. I covered the direct sun and was still blinded by the visual.

2 Points here, the object that the jets were chasing and then the halo around the sun that burnt my face and quite frankly scared the living daylights out of me. I feared something struck the sun, or worse some kind of CMEwhich blew out a portion of the sun, I dont know!!!

Too old for that, have had my experiences with it when I was younger more times than I can tell you. This is not about me, or about UFOs per se, it is about an event that happened which caused a HUGE rainbow dark halo around the sun. It burned nmy face within just the few moments I looked at it. Something BIG just happened and "They" know what it was .

Ahh I feel like crying, I know how this sounds, but without evidence yet it is just a kooky story, you are the Skeptic who opened my eyes years ago in ways others need never understand, what you say gives me chills because it is truth. With all of the various experiences in my life, this was something that was totally different and I do hope that it has a terrestrial explanation and that I get that answer fast because I am still just floored by this.

There was no way to have captured the UFO, I could have gotten footage of the Jets and the Halo, hell if I had a camera strapped to my ass for your benefit, I could have caught the booms, the jets, the ufo and the halo. Not being snarky, just trying to keep a sense of dry humor about it all. We will all wait for more reports and information as it comes in.

The Jets were coming in from several directions all aiming at the metallic object. Once the object dissipated and the Halo began, they flew off. They were incoming from all directions towards the object. I feel sorry for it. I have never seen jets fly that fast, that low at that speed or towards one another. It was pure experience.

It is emotional to say the least as I sit here with a burned face. It shouldn't matter who believes me or not I am not looking for attention, I hate attention for the most part, yet it does feel good to be taken seriously and I know the members here WILL get to the bottom of this and help me to understand what it was I just experienced.

THAT is concerning to me. Here is a video of what it looked like to me although the Craft had no ocean to dive into. Instead it dissipated as the huge eruption happened on the sun and caused the Halo effect. Not a very good video, but it gives a close analogy to what I witnessed.

That is a few of Antar's posts. As a counselor, when I read them in the proper sequence what I get is a person in a state of shock. Whatever Antar saw was so far removed from normalcy that she is having trouble coping and has come to us for help.

I am more than willing to help and would like to find the truth.

Her comments are direct evidence of the event she is trying her best to explain.

Now, you do not want to believe, fine, good for you.

To suggest this goes in the hoax bin because of your unwillingness to keep an open mind is not what ATS is all about.

One of our number has been badly frightened and is in shock with possible physical injuries as well. What else can we do but help?

Thank you for a well thought out, reasonable post on the effects this had on her. That is my utmost concern right now, along with several others. Especially the physical aspects, but the emotional, as well, as you so aptly articulated.

I could not agree with you more, but, until she returns, and can tell us what she needs, we can do nothing more than speculate, and try to explore what may have happened.

Lots of guessing games, but one thing for certain, and I stand by my assessment of it, if she suffered a physical injury, and I believe she did, this should be disconcerting to all reading this.

If our military, our government, is placing civillians at risk, that is unacceptable. Something should really happen with this, IMO.

She is not required to post proof. Her word is all all that is required in this forum. You are Welcome to Deny Ignorance on all other forums, but this one allows a certain degree of freedom of discussion.

No one requires you to believe her, nor to participate in the thread it upsets you that others do.

However, I do feel it is stepping over the line to suggest that the OP is lying. She has nothing to gain by doing so. She did nothing to earn that, except not meet your definition of required proof.

Since it has been moved to the Gray Area, and that level of proof is not required, perhaps this isn't the topic for you?
